When it comes to building up your player, and your notariety, one of the biggest ways to make a positive or negative impact is with your render. With the ISFL you have the freedom to use almost any render you please. So I thought it would be really fun to take a look at the last 5 drafts (S22-26) and giving every player a review/rank. Please keep in mind this is personal preference. I am also listing their information at the time of them being drafted, so some information might be outdated.
S26 R1 P1: BamBam McMullet
Position: LB
DSFL Team:
ISFL Team: FireSalamanders
Render: Brian Bozworth
The Boz might be one of the coolest college players of all time. Unfortunately his success didn't translate to the NFL, and Bo Jackson definitely made sure he got that bust status. Besides that fact though, its Brian fucking Bozworth, easily a top tier render. 10/10
S26 R1 P2: Dogwood Maple
Position: S
DSFL Team:
ISFL Team: Silverbacks
Render: Greg Maddux
First let me comment that whoever made his draft render did a fantastic job. The hall of fame baseball pitcher was one of, if not the best pitcher of the mid 1990's. It's something new and refreshing, and isn't another Harrison Smith render for a defensive back. 9/10
S26 R1 P3: Ernest Lover
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Hawks
Render: Lindval Joseph
Damn that boy is biiiiiiiig. Lindval Joseph is a defensive tackle who spent most of his career with the Vikings. He has a ring with the Giants (ps. fuck the Giants), and has earned two pro bowls as well. One of the best run stuffing tackles of the 2010's, I can always appreciate a good fat render. 9/10
S26 R1 P4: Arthur Naught
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Jeremy Shockey
As a University of Miami fan, whenever I see a player from the U, I instantly appreciate the render 2x more. Jeremy Shockey is a 2x Superbowl Champ (Again fuck the Giants), and 4x pro bowler. One of the more well rounded tight ends of the late 2000's, anyone who was a part of the U is instantly a top render in my book. 10/10
S26 R1 P5: Vincent Jones
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: SecondLine
Render: Vinnie Jones
When I first saw this render, I wasn't really a huge fan. I'm not a fan of soccer, Soccer was invented by European ladies to keep them busy while their husbands did the cooking. Then however, I found out that this actor was behind one of my favorite movie phrases. "I'm the JUGGERNAUT BITCH". If it were not for the SecondLine Twitter trying to leak their pick leading up to the draft it would be a 10/10, but since I'm salty... 8/10
S26 R1 P6: Ryan Negs
Position: QB
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Daniel Jones
Danny Dimes, the player behind one of the most laughable draft picks of recent memory. Daniel Jones was considered a project QB coming out of Duke, and was thrown into the fire his rookie season thanks to the poor management from the Giants. Have I ever mentioned I hate the Giants? 6/10
S26 R1 P7: Cobra Kai
Position: RB
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: William Zabka
Karate Kid is one of the all time classic movies. With it's entertaining karate action, great motivational story, and phenomenal casting, one of my favorite users in the league chose one of the best renders. His name also fits extremely well. Easily 10/10
S26 R1 P8: Alexander Franklin
Position: OL
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Butchers
Render: Charlie Heck
A fourth round pick out of North Carolina, he is the son of Kansas City's OL coach Andy Heck. So with that in everyone's mind, is it any surprise this guy ended up playing as a lineman? While he hasn't had a long career and was drafted late, I can always appreciate a render nobody else has used. 8/10
S26 R1 P9: Moe Skeeter
Position: S
DSFL Team: Pythons
ISFL Team: Outlaws
Render: Skeeter (High School Mascot)
I hate everything this render represents. If there was the option to remove a specific bug from Earth for the rest of time, I would use it on mosquitos without even thinking about it. 3/10
S26 R1 P10: Demon Jaxson
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Pythons
ISFL Team: Sailfish
Render: Osi Umenyiora
More Giants players. Cool. Osi Umenyiora is a 2x Superbowl champ (Fuck the Giants) and 2x pro bowler. He was also an all-pro twice and one of the leading sack leaders of the 2000's. With that being said, this user is the first one to use Umenyiora as a render, and therefor gets bonus credit for not being a copycat. 8/10
S26 R1 P11: Derek Wildstar
Position: S
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: FireSalamanders
Render: Eric Weddle
Oh boy, here is our first common render of the article. Eric Weddle was a longtime safety of the Chargers, before playing for the Ravens and Rams towards the twilight of his career. With six Pro Bowls and five All Pro's, he is one of the better NFL players in the last decade. Unfortunately, there are a lot of Eric Weddle renders in the league. 4/10
S26 R1 P12: Leonard Taylor
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Lawrence Taylor
I fucking hate the Giants. With that said, Lawrence Taylor is one of, if not the best pass rushing linebacker of all time. Everyone knows who he is, and I don't have to go listing his stats for people to realize just how incredible of a player he is. Unfortunately not the first user to use him. 6/10
S26 R1 P13: Redbeard McFredbeard
Position: DT
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Travis Frederick
Travis Frederick was a Center for the Dallas Cowboys who was drafted in 2013. In his seven year career, he made it to 5 pro bowls, and got 3 all pro mentions. The best center of the last decade, his career was unfortunately cut short due to Guillain-Barre syndrome. Even after being diagnosed, he was able to have one more pro bowl caliber season before retiring. Fantastic render with a great story. 9/10
S26 R1 P14: Tugg Speedman
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Julian Edelman
White wide reciever, brunette hair, sounds like about 50% of the wide reciever renders I've seen. Being a Patriots fan I love Jules to death, but he's such a common render that I can't give him a good score. 3/10
S25 R1 P1: Swantavius Jones
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: FireSalamanders
Render: Me'Shell
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. One of the best users in the league has one of the best renders in the league. Dodgeball is a fantastic movie that I used to watch before going to bed during all the time. 10/10
S25 R1 P2: Dan Foster
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Pythons
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Eric Weddle
First duplicate on this list! I've already talked about Eric Weddle, who is one of the most common renders. 4/10
S25 R1 P3: Tex Wrecks
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Leighton Vander Esch
Leighton Vander Esch was a linebacker drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2018. After making a pro bowl with an all pro nod in his first season, before suffering a nerve injury in 2019. After breaking a collarbone in 2020, he hasn't had a chance to return to the field and return back to that form. That being said, he is another very common render. I wonder why? 4/10
S25 R1 P4: Raylan Crowder
Position: DE
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Evan Weaver
Evan Weaver is a linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals. He is a practice squad player, but had a fantastic college career, getting a unanimous all-american, and pac-12 defensive player of the year. This user is the first and only one to use this render, which is always a nice sight to see. 8/10
S25 R1 P5: Albert Ruschmann
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Chris Long
Another common render to be used, Chris Long had a fruitful NFL career with multiple superbowl rings (Fuck the Eagles as well). While he never lived up to his second overall draft pick hype, he had a very solid career on the Rams, Patriots, and Eagles. 4/10
S25 R1 P6: Felix Archstone
Position: OL
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Hawks
Render: Joe Staley with Felix Argyle Hair
Instant 0/10 for anime. Joe Staley was a good Offensive Tackle for the 49ers when they were making a resurgance in the early 2010's, but almost anyting anime will get a 0 from me.
S25 R1 P7: Guy Fields
Position: LB
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: Chad Greenway
r0tzbua is one of the best users in this league, and he chose a pretty good, but unfortunately previously used render. Chad Greenway was a career long Viking linebacker from 2006 to 2016. He has 2 pro bowls and one all pro nod. He was never the greatest or best linebacker in a given year, but he was very consistent and will end up being one of those players you will say "Oh I remember him, he was pretty damn good" about. 6/10
S25 R1 P8: Tayshawn Crunk
Position: S
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Outlaws
Render: Richard Sherman
Surprisingly, the first Sherman render. Richard Sherman is a well known loud mouth, who was able to back up his talking with his play on the field. He has a superbowl ring, 5 pro bowls and all pros, and is on the path towards Canton. I was never really a fan of him, but can respect his game. 8/10
S25 R1 P9: James Gath
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Butchers
Render: OSRS Chad
Runescape was a massive part of my childhood, so seeing this render brought back some amazing memories, and incredible terror https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8ZZmU8orvg. So being a massive fan of this large MMORPG, I have to give it a 10/10.
S25 R1 P10: Medicinal Toblerone
Position: OL
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: SecondLine
Render: Toblerone
I remember having a toblerone when I was just a wee boy. I cannot remember the taste, or the texture. I cannot even remember the situation I was in when I tried it. With that out of the way, this famous chocolate prism is a great comedic relief render. 8/10
S25 R1 P11: GOAT TANK
Position: GOAT TANK
DSFL Team: GOAT TANK
ISFL Team: GOAT TANK
Render: GOAT TANK
GOAT TANK. 10/10. Goat Tank uses Chris Jones, defensive tackle of the Kansas City chiefs as his render. One of the best defensive tackles in the NFL not named Aaron Donald, Chris Jones has won a superbowl, and made 2 pro bowls with an all pro nod. I hope he does well cause I have a rookie autograph card that I want to rise in value. 9/10
S25 R1 P12: Peter Patterson
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Sailfish
Render: Trae Waynes
Ah, Trae Waynes, if you are watching an NFL game and you see some burnt toast on the field, it is probably this guy. I've watched him get burnt more times than Paul Pierce on twitter. With that being said, unique render. 8/10
S25 R1 P13: Hank Winchester
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Silverbacks
Render: Leighton Vander Esch
Well, the Silverbacks drafted someone who will more than likely end up in the ISFL hall of fame. He uses a common render, but honestly he can use whatever he wants, cause he'll end up in the HoF either way. 4/10
S25 R1 P14: Rich Triplet
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Andrew Sendejo
Smh, would you look at that another Vikings safety used as a render. Harrison Smith, I mean Andrew Sendejo is a safety who has been passed around the NFL like a joint. Pretty common render and for obvious reasons. 4/10
S24 R1 P1: Juan Domine
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Butchers
Render: Ron Rivera
Riverboat Ron, one of the most respected coaches who has spent the last year battling, and beating cancer. As someone who has lost a family member to cancer, I respect the hell out of Rivera and wish him nothing but good health. He had a minor splash in the NFL as a player, but has been a great coach who was close to winning a ring in 2015 with the Panthers. I also love this Maglubiyet guy, one of the best users in the awesome Butchers locker room. 10/10
S24 R1 P2: Joshua Campbell
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Calvin Johnson
Wait, there's only been 1 Calvin Johnson render? Really? Calvin Johnson was the best reciever from when he was drafted, to the time he retired. He has numerous highlights of insane catches, and was incredibly well rounded. Unfortunately he played for the Lions, so he didn't get to achieve any team success. 10/10
S24 R1 P3: Asher Montain
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: Chris Long
Chris Long...... must I say it again? Also my front-runner for DEoty this season. 4/10
S24 R1 P4: Harrison Andrews
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Sailfish
Render: Xavien Howard
Another unique render! Miami has the Dolphins, the greatest football team, Xavien Howard was drafted by them in the 2016 draft. A hit or miss player, he ended 2020 with 10 interceptions in 13 games, which is absolutely incredible nowadays. Unfortunately he's alledgedly to be a scumbag off the field. 7/10
S24 R1 P5: Maverick Bowie
Position: S
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: Hawks
Render: Eric Weddle
So far Eric Weddle is in the lead for most common render. Chris Long and Leighton Vander Esch are behind him both with 2. 4/10
S24 R1 P6: Gunner Thorbjornsson
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Outlaws
Render: Andrew Van Ginkel
Andrew Van Ginkel is a Safety Hybrid for the Miami Dolphins. I surprisingly know who this guy is, because he was my best safety in Madden 20 when I rebuilt the Dolphins. If he was a bigger name he would probably be more common, but since he is the first render, 8/10
S24 R1 P7: Quentin Button
Position: S
DSFL Team: SeaWolves
ISFL Team: SecondLine
Render: Pete Vuckovich
Vuckovich was a middle of the pack MLB pitcher, who would have a breakout year in 1982, winning the AL Cy Young award. While he never achieved the success that a renowned baseball player would have, he is a very unique render with a unique Serbian background, and I can definitely respect it. 9/10
S24 R1 P8: Zoe Watts
Position: RB
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Copperheads
Render: Carli Lloyd
Carli Lloyd is a part of the US national women's soccer team, a team that has absolutely dominated other nations national teams in the last few world cups. I wish I could say more, but I don't know anything about soccer, and only watch it during US World Cup games. But I have heard of her! 9/10
S24 R1 P9: Melvin Murder-Moose
Position: K/P
DSFL Team: SeaWolves
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Velvet Shedding Moose
I have never seen a breed of Moose like this before looking it up. It's like if you breeded a normal canadian moose with a turkey, and the moose inherited the "Wattle" of the turkey on its antlers. Having played RDR2 and Hunter CotW though.... It looks mighty tasty. 9/10
S24 R1 P10: Joseph Joestar
Position: QB
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Otters
Render: Joseph Joestar
Lime, you are one of my favorite users, and I miss having you as a grader, but you have an anime render, so it would never work out between us. 0/10
S24 R1 P11: Dorothy Zbornak
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Pythons
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Bea Arthur
Bea Arthur was an actress on the renowned sitcom "The Golden Girls". The user has made sure that she hit the gym though, developing some immaculate muscles and physique. 10/10.
S24 R1 P12: Brach Thomaslacher
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Zach Thomas
Zach Thomas was a linebacker for the Miami Dolphins during the 2000's, and was one of the best tackling linebackers of all time. He finished his career with 7 pro bowls and 7 all pro nods. He is the first render of Zach Thomas, who if on a more popular team, would probably end up as a very popular render to use. 9/10
S23 R1 P1: Greedy Sly
Position: S
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Rodney Harrison
Rodney Harrison is one of my all time favorite players. He was an absolute goon on the field, and is severely underrated when it comes to the best safeties of the 90's and 2000's. Sylphreni is someone I am deeply upset we were not able to draft when the Butchers were trash, and someone I wouldn't mind talking to on a podcast either :eyes:. 11/10
S23 R1 P2: Tyler Montain
Position: DT
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Hawks
Render: Matthew Loannidis
Loannidis is a defensive lineman for the Washington ReNAME_REDACTEDs. As a fifth rounder, he has actually done pretty well for his draft position. He has been improving each year he has played, and is a unique render, who might end up becoming more popular if he goes to a big market team. 8/10
S23 R1 P3: Heinrich Kackpoo
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Pythons
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: TJ Watt?
I can't really find the render for this user, their draft render and sig render are both different, so I'm gonna go with TJ Watt. Surprisingly there is only one other listed TJ Watt, but he will definitely be getting more uses in the future. 5/10
S23 R1 P4: DB Jadakiss
Position: S
DSFL Team: SeaWolves
ISFL Team: Outlaws
Render: Jadakiss
I've never really bumped any of Jadakiss' music. So I can't really give an opinion on the music, but he has been very successful in the rap game, and is living comfortably, which is good for an artist. It's also a unique render that isn't boring or bland. 9/10
S23 R1 P5: Tycker Om
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Nick Bosa?
Another user that I can't find the requested render for. Nick Bosa is their draft gfx render so I'm going with that. Nick Bosa had a phenomenal rookie season, but unfortunately tore an ACL before the 2020 year, becoming a part of the injury filled 49ers of this season. Both the Bosa brothers are common renders. 4/10
S23 R1 P6: Tychondrius Hood
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Danny Amendola
ISFL users and their love for white recievers who played for the Patriots, name something else that meshes this well. Danny Amendola was instrumental in many different playoff runs for the Pats, so he has a special place in my heart. 3/10
S23 R1 P7: Son Goku
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Sailfish
Render: Goku (DBZ)
Dragon Ball Z is one of the very, very, very few anime's I've seen and tolerated. He's not as cool as Vegeta though. 6/10
S23 R1 P8: Raphael D'Alcott
Position: S
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Sailfish
Render: Julian Edelman
Another Edelman render, this time as a safety. Real scrappy lunchpail last to clock out guy. Miss this guy in the Butchers lockerroom. 3/10
S23 R1 P9: Ray-Ray Jackson
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: Marlon Humphrey
For some reason, the cornerback position in the ISFL has a pretty damn good amount of parity. Marlon Humphrey is a cornerback for the Ravens, who has been showing great improvements over the last few seasons. With two pro bowls and an all pro, expect to see him become a more popular render. 8/10
S23 R1 P10: L'Carpetron Dookmarriot
Position: S
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Guy Fieri
Welcome to flavortown. Guy Fieri is an internet legend for his wacky antics and hair, and his cooking shows and adventures. Unfortunately more people have started to use his render as a meme, so he has become very common, which is not good eats. 4/10
S23 R1 P11: Bob Bob
Position: S
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Otters
Render: QT Marshall
QT Marshall is a wrestler for AEW. I don't know anything about him, so I can't delve into who he is in an interesting way. Unique render though. 8/10
S23 R1 P12: Dick Thruster
Position: OL
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Louis Grodman??
I really cant find this guys render, like at all. So I'm going with this random Michigan Wolverine player who was used as his draft render. 0/10
S22 R1 P1: Cold Mendoza
Position: CB
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Copperheads
Render: No fucking clue
I can't find a render for this guy, so I'll just say my opinion on his league history. Drafted at 147th in the DSFL draft, he had the most insane draft climb, becoming the first overall in what might be the greatest draft class of all time. He became well known for his immense testing of the sim, and has been well worth the first overall pick. I haven't really had any interaction with them, but I'm sure they're a cool person. 0/10 no render
S22 R1 P2: Magnus Rikiya
Position: DT
DSFL Team: SeaWolves
ISFL Team: SecondLine
Render: Rikiya Gao
Another anime render...... But since it's Tesla, 10/10
S22 R1 P3: Matt Cross
Position: S
DSFL Team: SeaWolves
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Matt Cross
So Matt Cross is a wrestler, and I have no clue how to talk about them. They have a longer wikipedia article than the last wrestler, so bonus points I guess. 8.1/10
S22 R1 P4: Brandon Booker
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Harrison Smith
Harrison Smith is a safety for the Minnesota Vikings, they are also one of the most used renders in the ISFL. Booker wasn't even the only Smith render of the first round in this draft. This isn't a target at the user behind the render, just the render. 1/10
S22 R1 P5: Chester Sweets
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Trayvon Mullen
Trayvon Mullen is a safety from Clemson who was drafted by the Raiders in the second round. He won two natties with Clemson, and won DMVP in the 2018 championship game. His NFL career isn't set in stone yet, but he looks very promising. Also a unique render. 9/10
S22 R1 P6: Stanislaw Koniecpolski
Position: LB
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Outlaws
Render: Darius Leonard?
Another user with no set render, so I'm going off draft gfx. Darius Leonard was one of two incredible draft picks from the 2018 Indianapolis Colts draft. He has 2 pro bowls, and 2 all pros in just 3 seasons of playing so far. He is a very incredible player, and a unique render as well. 8/10
S22 R1 P7: Phat Boi
Position: DT
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: John Randle
The greatest draft bust of all time. John Randle is a hall of fame defensive lineman who played for the Vikings, who I think have had the most different renders of the NFL teams. With 7 pro bowls and 6 all pros, he was an absolute animal. Too bad the user couldn't be the same. 9/10
S22 R1 P8: Mo Magic
Position: DT
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Tyron Smith
One of two Tyron Smith renders, Tyron Smith is an offensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys. Since he was drafted he has been the most consistant lineman not named Joe Thomas. With 7 pro bowls and 4 all pros, he is on pace to get a gold jacket. The other user with this render is also the OL GOAT Givussafare Rubbe. 8/10
S22 R1 P9: Derred De Ville
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Hawks
Render: Colin Firth
"Who the fuck is this guy" I then immediately recognized him from the Kings Speech. That's all I really knew about this actor leading into this deep dive, but he's an alright lad. 9/10
S22 R1 P10: Jeffrey Phillips
Position: TE
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Otters
Render: Travis Kelce
Besides Rob Gronkowski, Travis Kelce is the most commonly used tight end render. I also have personal feelings of him being highly overrated, but I will keep them to myself as I give him a low score. 2/10
S22 R1 P11: Johnny Hellzapoppin
Position: S
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Charles Woodson
Charles Woodson is one of the best defensive backs of all time. With a superbowl ring, he also brings along 9 pro bowls, 8 all pros, a heisman trophy, national championship, and more College awards than I want to list. A part of the CHoF, he is a surefire hall of famer for the NFL, and is 5th all time in interceptions. Not a unique render, but a very good one. 7/10
S22 R1 P12: Andrew Witten
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: SecondLine
Render: Harrison Smith
Oh mithrandir, my sweet summer child. I've talked with you and others about your render, its unfortunate that such an amazing user has such a common render. I love you mith, but your render is too common. 1/10
Now that I am finally done with all of the first rounders, I'll list my top 5 real quick and then end it.
5. Cobra Kai (William Zabka)
4. Bam Bam McMullet (Brian Bozworth)
3. Dorothy Zbornak (Bea Arthur)
2. Juan Domine (Ron Rivera)
1. Greedy Sly (Rodney Harrison)
If you guys enjoy this, I'll think about doing this for other draft rounds and draft seasons! Hope you like it!
S26 R1 P1: BamBam McMullet
Position: LB
DSFL Team:
ISFL Team: FireSalamanders
Render: Brian Bozworth
The Boz might be one of the coolest college players of all time. Unfortunately his success didn't translate to the NFL, and Bo Jackson definitely made sure he got that bust status. Besides that fact though, its Brian fucking Bozworth, easily a top tier render. 10/10
S26 R1 P2: Dogwood Maple
Position: S
DSFL Team:
ISFL Team: Silverbacks
Render: Greg Maddux
First let me comment that whoever made his draft render did a fantastic job. The hall of fame baseball pitcher was one of, if not the best pitcher of the mid 1990's. It's something new and refreshing, and isn't another Harrison Smith render for a defensive back. 9/10
S26 R1 P3: Ernest Lover
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Hawks
Render: Lindval Joseph
Damn that boy is biiiiiiiig. Lindval Joseph is a defensive tackle who spent most of his career with the Vikings. He has a ring with the Giants (ps. fuck the Giants), and has earned two pro bowls as well. One of the best run stuffing tackles of the 2010's, I can always appreciate a good fat render. 9/10
S26 R1 P4: Arthur Naught
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Jeremy Shockey
As a University of Miami fan, whenever I see a player from the U, I instantly appreciate the render 2x more. Jeremy Shockey is a 2x Superbowl Champ (Again fuck the Giants), and 4x pro bowler. One of the more well rounded tight ends of the late 2000's, anyone who was a part of the U is instantly a top render in my book. 10/10
S26 R1 P5: Vincent Jones
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: SecondLine
Render: Vinnie Jones
When I first saw this render, I wasn't really a huge fan. I'm not a fan of soccer, Soccer was invented by European ladies to keep them busy while their husbands did the cooking. Then however, I found out that this actor was behind one of my favorite movie phrases. "I'm the JUGGERNAUT BITCH". If it were not for the SecondLine Twitter trying to leak their pick leading up to the draft it would be a 10/10, but since I'm salty... 8/10
S26 R1 P6: Ryan Negs
Position: QB
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Daniel Jones
Danny Dimes, the player behind one of the most laughable draft picks of recent memory. Daniel Jones was considered a project QB coming out of Duke, and was thrown into the fire his rookie season thanks to the poor management from the Giants. Have I ever mentioned I hate the Giants? 6/10
S26 R1 P7: Cobra Kai
Position: RB
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: William Zabka
Karate Kid is one of the all time classic movies. With it's entertaining karate action, great motivational story, and phenomenal casting, one of my favorite users in the league chose one of the best renders. His name also fits extremely well. Easily 10/10
S26 R1 P8: Alexander Franklin
Position: OL
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Butchers
Render: Charlie Heck
A fourth round pick out of North Carolina, he is the son of Kansas City's OL coach Andy Heck. So with that in everyone's mind, is it any surprise this guy ended up playing as a lineman? While he hasn't had a long career and was drafted late, I can always appreciate a render nobody else has used. 8/10
S26 R1 P9: Moe Skeeter
Position: S
DSFL Team: Pythons
ISFL Team: Outlaws
Render: Skeeter (High School Mascot)
I hate everything this render represents. If there was the option to remove a specific bug from Earth for the rest of time, I would use it on mosquitos without even thinking about it. 3/10
S26 R1 P10: Demon Jaxson
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Pythons
ISFL Team: Sailfish
Render: Osi Umenyiora
More Giants players. Cool. Osi Umenyiora is a 2x Superbowl champ (Fuck the Giants) and 2x pro bowler. He was also an all-pro twice and one of the leading sack leaders of the 2000's. With that being said, this user is the first one to use Umenyiora as a render, and therefor gets bonus credit for not being a copycat. 8/10
S26 R1 P11: Derek Wildstar
Position: S
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: FireSalamanders
Render: Eric Weddle
Oh boy, here is our first common render of the article. Eric Weddle was a longtime safety of the Chargers, before playing for the Ravens and Rams towards the twilight of his career. With six Pro Bowls and five All Pro's, he is one of the better NFL players in the last decade. Unfortunately, there are a lot of Eric Weddle renders in the league. 4/10
S26 R1 P12: Leonard Taylor
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Lawrence Taylor
I fucking hate the Giants. With that said, Lawrence Taylor is one of, if not the best pass rushing linebacker of all time. Everyone knows who he is, and I don't have to go listing his stats for people to realize just how incredible of a player he is. Unfortunately not the first user to use him. 6/10
S26 R1 P13: Redbeard McFredbeard
Position: DT
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Travis Frederick
Travis Frederick was a Center for the Dallas Cowboys who was drafted in 2013. In his seven year career, he made it to 5 pro bowls, and got 3 all pro mentions. The best center of the last decade, his career was unfortunately cut short due to Guillain-Barre syndrome. Even after being diagnosed, he was able to have one more pro bowl caliber season before retiring. Fantastic render with a great story. 9/10
S26 R1 P14: Tugg Speedman
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Julian Edelman
White wide reciever, brunette hair, sounds like about 50% of the wide reciever renders I've seen. Being a Patriots fan I love Jules to death, but he's such a common render that I can't give him a good score. 3/10
S25 R1 P1: Swantavius Jones
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: FireSalamanders
Render: Me'Shell
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. One of the best users in the league has one of the best renders in the league. Dodgeball is a fantastic movie that I used to watch before going to bed during all the time. 10/10
S25 R1 P2: Dan Foster
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Pythons
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Eric Weddle
First duplicate on this list! I've already talked about Eric Weddle, who is one of the most common renders. 4/10
S25 R1 P3: Tex Wrecks
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Leighton Vander Esch
Leighton Vander Esch was a linebacker drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2018. After making a pro bowl with an all pro nod in his first season, before suffering a nerve injury in 2019. After breaking a collarbone in 2020, he hasn't had a chance to return to the field and return back to that form. That being said, he is another very common render. I wonder why? 4/10
S25 R1 P4: Raylan Crowder
Position: DE
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Evan Weaver
Evan Weaver is a linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals. He is a practice squad player, but had a fantastic college career, getting a unanimous all-american, and pac-12 defensive player of the year. This user is the first and only one to use this render, which is always a nice sight to see. 8/10
S25 R1 P5: Albert Ruschmann
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Chris Long
Another common render to be used, Chris Long had a fruitful NFL career with multiple superbowl rings (Fuck the Eagles as well). While he never lived up to his second overall draft pick hype, he had a very solid career on the Rams, Patriots, and Eagles. 4/10
S25 R1 P6: Felix Archstone
Position: OL
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Hawks
Render: Joe Staley with Felix Argyle Hair
Instant 0/10 for anime. Joe Staley was a good Offensive Tackle for the 49ers when they were making a resurgance in the early 2010's, but almost anyting anime will get a 0 from me.
S25 R1 P7: Guy Fields
Position: LB
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: Chad Greenway
r0tzbua is one of the best users in this league, and he chose a pretty good, but unfortunately previously used render. Chad Greenway was a career long Viking linebacker from 2006 to 2016. He has 2 pro bowls and one all pro nod. He was never the greatest or best linebacker in a given year, but he was very consistent and will end up being one of those players you will say "Oh I remember him, he was pretty damn good" about. 6/10
S25 R1 P8: Tayshawn Crunk
Position: S
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Outlaws
Render: Richard Sherman
Surprisingly, the first Sherman render. Richard Sherman is a well known loud mouth, who was able to back up his talking with his play on the field. He has a superbowl ring, 5 pro bowls and all pros, and is on the path towards Canton. I was never really a fan of him, but can respect his game. 8/10
S25 R1 P9: James Gath
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Butchers
Render: OSRS Chad
Runescape was a massive part of my childhood, so seeing this render brought back some amazing memories, and incredible terror https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8ZZmU8orvg. So being a massive fan of this large MMORPG, I have to give it a 10/10.
S25 R1 P10: Medicinal Toblerone
Position: OL
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: SecondLine
Render: Toblerone
I remember having a toblerone when I was just a wee boy. I cannot remember the taste, or the texture. I cannot even remember the situation I was in when I tried it. With that out of the way, this famous chocolate prism is a great comedic relief render. 8/10
S25 R1 P11: GOAT TANK
Position: GOAT TANK
DSFL Team: GOAT TANK
ISFL Team: GOAT TANK
Render: GOAT TANK
GOAT TANK. 10/10. Goat Tank uses Chris Jones, defensive tackle of the Kansas City chiefs as his render. One of the best defensive tackles in the NFL not named Aaron Donald, Chris Jones has won a superbowl, and made 2 pro bowls with an all pro nod. I hope he does well cause I have a rookie autograph card that I want to rise in value. 9/10
S25 R1 P12: Peter Patterson
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Sailfish
Render: Trae Waynes
Ah, Trae Waynes, if you are watching an NFL game and you see some burnt toast on the field, it is probably this guy. I've watched him get burnt more times than Paul Pierce on twitter. With that being said, unique render. 8/10
S25 R1 P13: Hank Winchester
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Silverbacks
Render: Leighton Vander Esch
Well, the Silverbacks drafted someone who will more than likely end up in the ISFL hall of fame. He uses a common render, but honestly he can use whatever he wants, cause he'll end up in the HoF either way. 4/10
S25 R1 P14: Rich Triplet
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Andrew Sendejo
Smh, would you look at that another Vikings safety used as a render. Harrison Smith, I mean Andrew Sendejo is a safety who has been passed around the NFL like a joint. Pretty common render and for obvious reasons. 4/10
S24 R1 P1: Juan Domine
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Butchers
Render: Ron Rivera
Riverboat Ron, one of the most respected coaches who has spent the last year battling, and beating cancer. As someone who has lost a family member to cancer, I respect the hell out of Rivera and wish him nothing but good health. He had a minor splash in the NFL as a player, but has been a great coach who was close to winning a ring in 2015 with the Panthers. I also love this Maglubiyet guy, one of the best users in the awesome Butchers locker room. 10/10
S24 R1 P2: Joshua Campbell
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Calvin Johnson
Wait, there's only been 1 Calvin Johnson render? Really? Calvin Johnson was the best reciever from when he was drafted, to the time he retired. He has numerous highlights of insane catches, and was incredibly well rounded. Unfortunately he played for the Lions, so he didn't get to achieve any team success. 10/10
S24 R1 P3: Asher Montain
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: Chris Long
Chris Long...... must I say it again? Also my front-runner for DEoty this season. 4/10
S24 R1 P4: Harrison Andrews
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Sailfish
Render: Xavien Howard
Another unique render! Miami has the Dolphins, the greatest football team, Xavien Howard was drafted by them in the 2016 draft. A hit or miss player, he ended 2020 with 10 interceptions in 13 games, which is absolutely incredible nowadays. Unfortunately he's alledgedly to be a scumbag off the field. 7/10
S24 R1 P5: Maverick Bowie
Position: S
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: Hawks
Render: Eric Weddle
So far Eric Weddle is in the lead for most common render. Chris Long and Leighton Vander Esch are behind him both with 2. 4/10
S24 R1 P6: Gunner Thorbjornsson
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Outlaws
Render: Andrew Van Ginkel
Andrew Van Ginkel is a Safety Hybrid for the Miami Dolphins. I surprisingly know who this guy is, because he was my best safety in Madden 20 when I rebuilt the Dolphins. If he was a bigger name he would probably be more common, but since he is the first render, 8/10
S24 R1 P7: Quentin Button
Position: S
DSFL Team: SeaWolves
ISFL Team: SecondLine
Render: Pete Vuckovich
Vuckovich was a middle of the pack MLB pitcher, who would have a breakout year in 1982, winning the AL Cy Young award. While he never achieved the success that a renowned baseball player would have, he is a very unique render with a unique Serbian background, and I can definitely respect it. 9/10
S24 R1 P8: Zoe Watts
Position: RB
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Copperheads
Render: Carli Lloyd
Carli Lloyd is a part of the US national women's soccer team, a team that has absolutely dominated other nations national teams in the last few world cups. I wish I could say more, but I don't know anything about soccer, and only watch it during US World Cup games. But I have heard of her! 9/10
S24 R1 P9: Melvin Murder-Moose
Position: K/P
DSFL Team: SeaWolves
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Velvet Shedding Moose
I have never seen a breed of Moose like this before looking it up. It's like if you breeded a normal canadian moose with a turkey, and the moose inherited the "Wattle" of the turkey on its antlers. Having played RDR2 and Hunter CotW though.... It looks mighty tasty. 9/10
S24 R1 P10: Joseph Joestar
Position: QB
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Otters
Render: Joseph Joestar
Lime, you are one of my favorite users, and I miss having you as a grader, but you have an anime render, so it would never work out between us. 0/10
S24 R1 P11: Dorothy Zbornak
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Pythons
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Bea Arthur
Bea Arthur was an actress on the renowned sitcom "The Golden Girls". The user has made sure that she hit the gym though, developing some immaculate muscles and physique. 10/10.
S24 R1 P12: Brach Thomaslacher
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Zach Thomas
Zach Thomas was a linebacker for the Miami Dolphins during the 2000's, and was one of the best tackling linebackers of all time. He finished his career with 7 pro bowls and 7 all pro nods. He is the first render of Zach Thomas, who if on a more popular team, would probably end up as a very popular render to use. 9/10
S23 R1 P1: Greedy Sly
Position: S
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Rodney Harrison
Rodney Harrison is one of my all time favorite players. He was an absolute goon on the field, and is severely underrated when it comes to the best safeties of the 90's and 2000's. Sylphreni is someone I am deeply upset we were not able to draft when the Butchers were trash, and someone I wouldn't mind talking to on a podcast either :eyes:. 11/10
S23 R1 P2: Tyler Montain
Position: DT
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Hawks
Render: Matthew Loannidis
Loannidis is a defensive lineman for the Washington ReNAME_REDACTEDs. As a fifth rounder, he has actually done pretty well for his draft position. He has been improving each year he has played, and is a unique render, who might end up becoming more popular if he goes to a big market team. 8/10
S23 R1 P3: Heinrich Kackpoo
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Pythons
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: TJ Watt?
I can't really find the render for this user, their draft render and sig render are both different, so I'm gonna go with TJ Watt. Surprisingly there is only one other listed TJ Watt, but he will definitely be getting more uses in the future. 5/10
S23 R1 P4: DB Jadakiss
Position: S
DSFL Team: SeaWolves
ISFL Team: Outlaws
Render: Jadakiss
I've never really bumped any of Jadakiss' music. So I can't really give an opinion on the music, but he has been very successful in the rap game, and is living comfortably, which is good for an artist. It's also a unique render that isn't boring or bland. 9/10
S23 R1 P5: Tycker Om
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Nick Bosa?
Another user that I can't find the requested render for. Nick Bosa is their draft gfx render so I'm going with that. Nick Bosa had a phenomenal rookie season, but unfortunately tore an ACL before the 2020 year, becoming a part of the injury filled 49ers of this season. Both the Bosa brothers are common renders. 4/10
S23 R1 P6: Tychondrius Hood
Position: WR
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Danny Amendola
ISFL users and their love for white recievers who played for the Patriots, name something else that meshes this well. Danny Amendola was instrumental in many different playoff runs for the Pats, so he has a special place in my heart. 3/10
S23 R1 P7: Son Goku
Position: DE
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Sailfish
Render: Goku (DBZ)
Dragon Ball Z is one of the very, very, very few anime's I've seen and tolerated. He's not as cool as Vegeta though. 6/10
S23 R1 P8: Raphael D'Alcott
Position: S
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Sailfish
Render: Julian Edelman
Another Edelman render, this time as a safety. Real scrappy lunchpail last to clock out guy. Miss this guy in the Butchers lockerroom. 3/10
S23 R1 P9: Ray-Ray Jackson
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: Marlon Humphrey
For some reason, the cornerback position in the ISFL has a pretty damn good amount of parity. Marlon Humphrey is a cornerback for the Ravens, who has been showing great improvements over the last few seasons. With two pro bowls and an all pro, expect to see him become a more popular render. 8/10
S23 R1 P10: L'Carpetron Dookmarriot
Position: S
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Guy Fieri
Welcome to flavortown. Guy Fieri is an internet legend for his wacky antics and hair, and his cooking shows and adventures. Unfortunately more people have started to use his render as a meme, so he has become very common, which is not good eats. 4/10
S23 R1 P11: Bob Bob
Position: S
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Otters
Render: QT Marshall
QT Marshall is a wrestler for AEW. I don't know anything about him, so I can't delve into who he is in an interesting way. Unique render though. 8/10
S23 R1 P12: Dick Thruster
Position: OL
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Louis Grodman??
I really cant find this guys render, like at all. So I'm going with this random Michigan Wolverine player who was used as his draft render. 0/10
S22 R1 P1: Cold Mendoza
Position: CB
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Copperheads
Render: No fucking clue
I can't find a render for this guy, so I'll just say my opinion on his league history. Drafted at 147th in the DSFL draft, he had the most insane draft climb, becoming the first overall in what might be the greatest draft class of all time. He became well known for his immense testing of the sim, and has been well worth the first overall pick. I haven't really had any interaction with them, but I'm sure they're a cool person. 0/10 no render
S22 R1 P2: Magnus Rikiya
Position: DT
DSFL Team: SeaWolves
ISFL Team: SecondLine
Render: Rikiya Gao
Another anime render...... But since it's Tesla, 10/10
S22 R1 P3: Matt Cross
Position: S
DSFL Team: SeaWolves
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Matt Cross
So Matt Cross is a wrestler, and I have no clue how to talk about them. They have a longer wikipedia article than the last wrestler, so bonus points I guess. 8.1/10
S22 R1 P4: Brandon Booker
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Liberty
Render: Harrison Smith
Harrison Smith is a safety for the Minnesota Vikings, they are also one of the most used renders in the ISFL. Booker wasn't even the only Smith render of the first round in this draft. This isn't a target at the user behind the render, just the render. 1/10
S22 R1 P5: Chester Sweets
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Sabercats
Render: Trayvon Mullen
Trayvon Mullen is a safety from Clemson who was drafted by the Raiders in the second round. He won two natties with Clemson, and won DMVP in the 2018 championship game. His NFL career isn't set in stone yet, but he looks very promising. Also a unique render. 9/10
S22 R1 P6: Stanislaw Koniecpolski
Position: LB
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Outlaws
Render: Darius Leonard?
Another user with no set render, so I'm going off draft gfx. Darius Leonard was one of two incredible draft picks from the 2018 Indianapolis Colts draft. He has 2 pro bowls, and 2 all pros in just 3 seasons of playing so far. He is a very incredible player, and a unique render as well. 8/10
S22 R1 P7: Phat Boi
Position: DT
DSFL Team: Coyotes
ISFL Team: Hahalua
Render: John Randle
The greatest draft bust of all time. John Randle is a hall of fame defensive lineman who played for the Vikings, who I think have had the most different renders of the NFL teams. With 7 pro bowls and 6 all pros, he was an absolute animal. Too bad the user couldn't be the same. 9/10
S22 R1 P8: Mo Magic
Position: DT
DSFL Team: Grey Ducks
ISFL Team: Yeti
Render: Tyron Smith
One of two Tyron Smith renders, Tyron Smith is an offensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys. Since he was drafted he has been the most consistant lineman not named Joe Thomas. With 7 pro bowls and 4 all pros, he is on pace to get a gold jacket. The other user with this render is also the OL GOAT Givussafare Rubbe. 8/10
S22 R1 P9: Derred De Ville
Position: LB
DSFL Team: Royals
ISFL Team: Hawks
Render: Colin Firth
"Who the fuck is this guy" I then immediately recognized him from the Kings Speech. That's all I really knew about this actor leading into this deep dive, but he's an alright lad. 9/10
S22 R1 P10: Jeffrey Phillips
Position: TE
DSFL Team: BirdDogs
ISFL Team: Otters
Render: Travis Kelce
Besides Rob Gronkowski, Travis Kelce is the most commonly used tight end render. I also have personal feelings of him being highly overrated, but I will keep them to myself as I give him a low score. 2/10
S22 R1 P11: Johnny Hellzapoppin
Position: S
DSFL Team: Buccaneers
ISFL Team: Wraiths
Render: Charles Woodson
Charles Woodson is one of the best defensive backs of all time. With a superbowl ring, he also brings along 9 pro bowls, 8 all pros, a heisman trophy, national championship, and more College awards than I want to list. A part of the CHoF, he is a surefire hall of famer for the NFL, and is 5th all time in interceptions. Not a unique render, but a very good one. 7/10
S22 R1 P12: Andrew Witten
Position: CB
DSFL Team: Luchadores
ISFL Team: SecondLine
Render: Harrison Smith
Oh mithrandir, my sweet summer child. I've talked with you and others about your render, its unfortunate that such an amazing user has such a common render. I love you mith, but your render is too common. 1/10
Now that I am finally done with all of the first rounders, I'll list my top 5 real quick and then end it.
5. Cobra Kai (William Zabka)
4. Bam Bam McMullet (Brian Bozworth)
3. Dorothy Zbornak (Bea Arthur)
2. Juan Domine (Ron Rivera)
1. Greedy Sly (Rodney Harrison)
If you guys enjoy this, I'll think about doing this for other draft rounds and draft seasons! Hope you like it!
