$1.5x MEDIA$ XTITANXMVPX's Mock Draft (4744 words)
I have removed some words as they may have been triggering people not named Gragg9 (These words should not count towards the total limit)
This mock draft was a challenge. A truly mountainous obstacle that forced me to rethink my picks every damned day because I kept noting, seeing, hearing, and picking up on things I thought were hints. I told myself, Titan, you’re gonna do a whole damned draft and not just the first 3 rounds or whatever this time, got it? Well, here I am, four weeks after telling myself that and still not positive what I put in this thing could be anywhere close to right. With as much activity as I’ve seen in the locker rooms in the last week, things could have drastically changed in a heartbeat. I tried to incorporate some pre-existing relationships into this thing, but for fuck’s sake I don’t know who has the hawt’s for who...or who sat by who eighteen months ago and they smiled at each other. Simply saying this, I went by positional need moreso than anything else and I tried hard to make things make sense.
Towards the end of this, things just get wacky and it’s based more on activity than anything else so before you go “But Titan, Philly drafted 7 rbs in the last 4 rounds…” stuff it alright. Shit gets wacky. If you thought you were first round talent but didn’t go in the first round in my draft, or even the 2nd round, well...that’s because this draft was LOADED with talented people who have been working their arses off so quit making the world all about you.
Now with that said, we kick it off with the Baltimore Hawks…..
Round 1
Pick 1: Baltimore Hawks Luke Quick (WR) - KCC
BigRed has constantly talked about as a stand up user who has contributed a lot to the sim over the years. I don’t have much personal experience with the guy but this seems like a pick that Baltimore is destined to pick with the needs they have on the offensive side of the ball. BigRed has a solid amount of money to his name (which honestly doesn’t matter as long as a player can afford EQ and training each year) which makes this easier for a team selecting him. This could be a wildcard pick but I think this one just makes too much sense.
Pick 2: Baltimore Hawks Busch Goose (RB) - KCC
Going from 69, teehee, to number 2 is a big jump, but Goose (infinitempg) would make it with this selection. As another top quality user + player, Goose steps in to be the future at runningback for the Hawks. I could echo much of what I said about BigRed here and it just solidifies the pick even more. Could this be another mystery player? Sure, there are quite a few runningbacks that are very active and talented in this draft and this pick could very well be something else (which would f*** up every other part of this mock).
Pick 3: Orange County Otters Dexter Hall (LB) - KCC
The reason I go this direction with this pick is because Orange County did not reach out to me throughout the draft process and that leaves their biggest need to be filled by FirstFray. A newly acquired buddy of mine, FirstFray is a great user and will provide an active contributor throughout his career. Orange County gets a big win here with this pick and to be honest they likely wouldn’t go wrong with Hall, myself, or Chuggs in this spot. I just hate to look up and see three damn Coyotes at the top of the draft. (What the hell am I doing…)
Pick 4: Philadelphia Liberty Xavier Walls (LB) - POR
I know Gragg! You’re reading this and like, “Nah dude, I’m totally going there.” Honestly though, I felt really good in their locker room and had a good conversation with them in the scouting process (even though they forgot to invite me into their locker room until later). They have needs cross the defense, but moreso they get a great user here with whatever pick they make. Gragg would be an exciting pick here as well and honestly Gragg won’t fall far if he does not indeed get picked here. I know myself and I know the Liberty would get a future hall of famer, max earner, and great locker room contributor by selecting me in this spot.
Pick 5: Berlin Fire Salamanders Glenn Smart (DE) - LON
I don’t know a whole lot about Pib, but the guy sounds like he’s well liked around the league. In a position of need, and having a great activity level, I think Berlin will pull the trigger on Smart here and put him into their near future plans for their defensive line.
Pick 6: New York Silverbacks Mongo (DE) - BBB
Defensive end is a position that needs depth throughout the league and Mongo makes up one of a few user/player combos that have been very active and show that they can earn above the average. The Silverbacks get a great user with MachinedEarnedRuns and someone who will really contribute to the team.
Pick 7 San Jose Sabercats Stumpy Jones (OL) - POR
The best offensive line in the draft, Footballiscool serves up a heaping stack of great activity level, user personality, media output, and on field success. With an increasing need for user offensive lineman, Stumpy makes up a draft class that is quite thin at the position. I fully expect San Jose to order up themselves a big plate of this pancake monster on draft day.
Pick 8 Yellowknife Wraiths Anton Bruckner (CB) - MINN
NOW! I know what you’re gonna say Gragg…”Yellowknife doesn’t need a cornerback here.” BUT they want to go with a user that is so good they can’t pass it up here. With an on the fly pick, the Wraiths select Bruckner (user Gragg9) due to his skills at contributing on AND off the field. This is a pick that could go a different route, but if the Wraiths are looking for best user available here, this is the pick that will happen.
Pick 9 Arizona Outlaws Andrew Warthol (DE) - MINN
Skorch is a great user and adds a level of earning and activity that puts him in that select group of defensive ends in this draft that need to be taken early to fill positional need with a good user. Arizona should be happy to get this pick here as it fills a need for them going into the new season.
Pick 10 Chicago Butchers Saleem Spence (WR) - POR
There are some very high quality wide receivers on the board at this point and the Butchers could take any of them and be happy with it, but I think that they go with Saleem Spence here as the highest tpe/user quality/media output mix. They should be ecstatic to get a talent like this late in the first and it builds their draft nicely as they get into rounds 2 and 3.
Pick 11 Colorado Yeti Professor Gravity (DT) - KCC
The Yeti’s could use a linebacker here, but moreso they need a defensive tackle to add depth and soon replace Blackstone on their line. Prof. Gravity offers up the entire smorgasbord of user, contribution, and activyt to the Yeti here. Z0rem is one of the top picks in this draft and could possibly go even higher to the Wraiths but at this point the Yeti snatch him up as they have probably the largest need of any team for a defensive tackle.
Pick 12 Honolulu Hahalua Cade Williams (OL) - TIJ
One of only maybe three lineman who have really kept active and put up good earning numbers, dude_man gets quickly dragged in by the Hahalua here. Dude_man serves up a good catch of usering, activity, and earning and Honolulu has to be happy to get one of the premier offensive linemen in this year’s draft class.
Pick 13 New Orleans Secondline Romulus Roman (SS) - TIJ
Back to back Tijuana Luchadores here in the late first round as Amulos gets taken by the Secondline. Now, I have close connections with Amulos and I know he is very flexible with his position which serves the Secondline perfectly. Possibly moving his position around, the Secondline can strictly draft the user with this pick and I think it’s an absolute steal late in the first round. They will get someone dedicated to earning and contributing the locker room culture as well as someone who definitely is on the look out for jobs and other ways to make that money and create. The Secondline win big on this pick if they make it.
Pick 14 Sarasota Sailfish Tim Soulja (FS) - MINN
The Sailfish need secondary and with lots of them available right now they could go in many directions. It’s possible they select Chuggs as linebacker of the future or they take Juno Hu at cornerback, but I think they take a very active and enthused user here in Painted. With his connection to Gragg9, I think Painted is a very motivated user who will definitely contribute at the next level.
Round 2
Pick 15: Philadelphia Liberty Remus Roman (RB) - POR
The other part of the Roman twins (and real life twins), Vaelynn is an absolute steal here at the beginning of the 2nd round. Again, I’m closely connected to him and I know he’s willing to move around the field which makes for a complete user pick here. Philadelphia should be creaming their drawers to have the opportunity to take such a great dude here. His locker room chatter, activity levels, earning, and his media are all gold quality and if that’s not enough for you...he’s a Dungeon Master for our DnD campaign. ROCKSTAR.
Pick 16: Austin Copperheads Bayley Cowabunga (WR) - DAL
This is one of those picks where I heard from a guy who heard from a guy who heard from his grandma that Bayley really wants to go to the Copperheads and thats mutual? Whatever, I only know Bayley through Fantasy and the Twitter page stuff, but I’m guessing he’s a cool dude if I’m hearing all this jazz. Obviously active, earning well, and contributing to the league higher up, Bayley is invested and would not be a bad pick for Austin who does need a bit of depth for their receiving core.
Pick 17: Orange County Otters Chunt the Badger (WR) - DAL
Back to back Birddogs wide receivers here as ultimateyeehaw goes to the wide receiver needy Otters. Another insanely high quality pick at the top of the second round, The Badger gives high earning, active usering, and contributions to things off the field in different areas of the sim. A great pick here for the Otters and I think everyone walks away happy on this one.
Pick 18: Baltimore Hawks Bender Rodriguez (TE) - MINN
One of the Duck trio, Shrub02 would be the pick here for the Hawks who still have a ton of needs left on the board. However, I think tight end is a lacking position in this draft and Bender provides one of the only high earning, great users available at the position so the Hawks would need to jump on him now in order to get their man.
Pick 19: Berlin Fire Salamanders Cole Maxwell (SS) - DAL
Maxwell fills a position of need here for the Salamanders and also provides above average earning. The Salamanders could take a few different things here, but I think they go with one of the best safeties remaining to complete their secondary with quality users.
Pick 20: New Orleans Secondline Erik Gaare (RB) - DAL
This pick is set on the idea that the Secondline want one of the best skill position people out there with a user that is active, contributes, and earns at a high level. I’m not positive if Maupassant is willing to position swap, but if they are they would likely have a great chance to fill in quickly in NOLA one way or another.
Pick 21: Baltimore Hawks Daniel O’Leary (DT) - MINN
Unless they go with a higher earning user here, I think the Hawks take one of the only remaining, active, and earning defensive tackles in the draft class with Mango8154 here. Mango is a great user that I got to know in Chernobyl during the prospect games and I think he’d be a great addition to the rebuild in Baltimore. His earning could pick up a bit, but if it does, this pick is an absolute steal for the Hawks.
Pick 22: Yellowknife Wraiths Manhatten Project (RB) - LON
Need a great user? Check. Need a runningback? Check. This answers so many needs for Yellowknife I just can’t see them passing up Modern_Duke here. The user is great, high earning, very active, and it fills the depth they need in an aging runningback committee. The Wraiths should be overjoyed to have the Project available here.
Pick 23: Orange County Otters Juno Hu (CB) - TIJ
The Otters are just sitting in the right spots to take highly talented players at positions of need throughout this draft and Juno Hu is another victory to add to their belt. J00 is very active, earns at a great rate, and puts out media. Their locker room has spoken highly of them and I think this is just another steal for the Otters who need the help to add depth to their cornerback platoon.
Pick 24: Chicago Butchers Troy Abed (QB) - KCC
The first quarterback off the board here, Noanic gets grabbed up by the Butchers. This could be any of the top quarterbacks here depending on relationships and conversations had, but I think that Noanic is a great user here and offers high earning and contributions along with carrying his team to a long playoff run.
Pick 25: Colorado Yeti Deandre Chuggs (LB) - MINN
After missing out on a linebacker in the first round, Colorado would snatch up Chuggs here in a greedy, greedy fashion. Chuggs came on late and really put up great earning numbers and was very active. I think this is a great pick up here for the Yeti and helps them alleviate some of their loses at linebacker this off-season.
Pick 26: Honolulu Hahalua Logan Anderson (DE) - POR
Another person who came in a bit late, but really put out good earning numbers, Cklues was active in the locker room and is a great person to have in the locker room. I am not sure if they are willing to position swap, but moving over to the defensive tackle position for the Hahalua would provide them exactly what they need in depth for the next couple of years.
Pick 27: New Orleans Secondline CJ Sonjack (CB) - LON
Ace is a great grab here for the Secondline as they fill in some needed depth in their secondary. I have heard Ace is a great user who puts in the effort week in and week out so the Secondline get a Ace in the sleeve for seasons to come with this late 2nd round pick.
Pick 28: Sarasota Sailfish Brooks Bane (LB) - MINN
Jhatty8 offers up some dope ass graphics and is a great user to have around the locker room. His earning dropped off but I think he can make the rebound and if he can the Sailfish have an answer here for future seasons down the road with a user that offers so much more than just on field stuff.
Round 3
Pck 29: Philadelphia Liberty Sam The Onionman (WR) - NOR
Duilio has come back to being more active here at the back end of the season and I think this pick makes a lot of sense for the Liberty here. They need some more offensive weapons for the future and with some of their receivers aging a little bit Duilio provides them an incredible user along with a person who is a great personality in the locker room. I see him being a great help to new users whenever he goes.
Pick 30: Austin Copperheads Makoa Mahi’ai (TE) - LON
King Jellyfish is a new user for me as I have not had a lot of interactions with them, but they seem to be known and well liked by a couple different locker rooms. I put them here in this spot because Austin could definitely use a tight end and a solid user who seems to be active on a different timezone.
Pick 31: Orange County Otters Kelvin Harris (SS) - NOR
Another pick that I don’t know all that much about, but Astrophy was active early on in the prospect bowl weeks. They continued to raise their stock with constant earning and seemed to be well liked going into the DSFL draft. I don’t think that changes a whole lot here and Orange County gets another piece to add to their already great draft.
Pick 32: Philadelphia Liberty Lux Opal (FS) - TIJ
Alright Philly...calm down okay? The only way the Liberty could get better users is if they traded up for Gragg9 and his squad or the other Roman brother. I digress though because Quail is a highly praised member of the Luchadores and comes to the Liberty as a dime piece here at this point of this incredibly deep draft. A great haul for them so far.
Pick 33: Berlin Fire Salamanders Dexter Zaylren (QB) - BBB
Laser is a hell of a pick at any point throughout this draft, but I have quarterbacks generally going late throughout this draft just because of the positional needs in other places and the high amount of quarterbacks filling the ranks of the ISFL. Laser is a fellow mock draft writer and I have a lot of fun chatting with him about this stuff. He’s a great addition to the locker room, is very active, max earns, and….he probably does way more shit. He’s a rock star. Berlin gets a jackpot pick this late.
Pick 34: New York Silverbacks Henny Tingzpahcbol (CB) - BBB
Back to back beach boys here as Soryantyler goes to the Silverbacks to fill in their depth for the future in their secondary. I have not really interacted with Soryantyler but they have kept active, been earning mid to mid-high, and I haven’t heard anything bad about them? Seems like a good solid pick for round 3 here for the big gorillaz.
Pick 35: San Jose Sabercats Lonnie Jackson (RB) - TIJ
Exilate is one of those users thats at a position that will have him drop just due to other needs, but don’t let that fool you. He’s a great user, is active, earns well, and looks to contribute from what I’ve seen of them, especially lately. I think the Sabercats get a great selection here and Exilate will go to a place where he can contribute before too long. Great value for the Sabercats on this pick.
Pick 36: Yellowknife Wraiths Luke Watterson (LB) - DAL
Ezrayeet is an unfamiliar user so I can’t say much in regards to that, but I can see that they have kept up in a mid-level earning progression and are one of the best linebackers remaining on the board. The Wraiths could go any direction with this pick and just take the best user remaining which there are quite a few of remaining. Getting to this point in the mock is shots in the dark, but motherf***er these are edumacated!
Pick 37: Arizona Outlaws IsHe...ReallyInvisible (QB) - TIJ
It’s JPach. <insert generic this guy does it all and is a sim head person thing> Arizona could use some quarterback depth and JPach is one of the best of a handful left. This pick could be anything as Arizona definitely doesn’t have many needs this draft.
Pick 38: San Jose Saberkitties Amy Wong (CB) - NOR
Pazuzu has been a consistent user in earning but other than that I do not know all that much about them. San Jose needs secondary still and Pazuzu offers that to them with plus upside.
Pick 39: Colorado Yeti Rainbow Dash (K/P) - LON
The only thing I could see that Colorado needed was a kicker at this point. Peterson offers a reasonable amount of activity and earning. I don’t know!? Okay! Leave me a lone gosh!
Pick 40: Austin Copperheads Chat Smith IV (FS) - BBB
Rockiesfan4ever is a great user and someone might think…”What the f*** Titan...this late?” Well, shove it. I have a lot of respect for Rockiesfan and think again they just suffer the positional want thing and then a team takes a pick on them and they get a cheaty pick of a great user and it turns out amazing for them.
Pick 41: New Orleans Secondline Raeni Clarke (QB) - NOR
Again another spot that makes sense for a quarterback to be taken and again I don’t know who knows who well or who gave who a backrub back in freshman year of college. Bex is the commish and obviously anyone who takes her knows what they are doing and I figure it’ll be a good pick. She could very well go way earlier as well.
Pick 42: Sarasota Sailfish Siege Cameron (CB) - KCC
I’m not overly familiar with the user here, but their earning was lower than other
cornerbacks picked before them. I still think this is a high upside pick for the Sailfish who make their last pick here in the draft unless they trade back up into the last rounds. Siege gives them secondary depth and they can hopefully boost the earning here and come away with a steal.
Round 4
Pick 43: Baltimore Hawks Gritt Gurdur (DE) - POR
Miller is a user that I know outside of the sim and he certainly had a strong start with the super friends, but his activity dropped a bit towards the end of the year and eventually kind of halted. Although still active, I think he drops a bit in the draft due to this. If he comes back to being as active as he was early in the season the Hawks will have the steal of the draft here with this pick.
Pick 44:Austin Copperheads Brandon Prince (RB) - BBB
Void_DCXI has really tried to put media out there and has been active in the locker rooms but the earning just wasn’t there for some reason throughout the season and I think that is the biggest thing outside of runningback saturation in this draft that drops him to this spot. I do think Austion is a great place for him as they have a lot of users who are incredibly helpful and experienced as most teams do. However, I have in-depth experience with South on Austin and I know he could really help Prince turn the corner and excel.
Pick 45: Orange County Otters Jacob Raske (QB) - MINN
CLG has recently made a media saying he’d switch positions so that may raise his stock, but as a quarterback i think he continues the trend of a late pick here and goes to the Otters who do need a future quarterback but not for some time. CLG Rampage is a great user and offers alot to be appreciated. The Otters just continue to roll with their steal picks later in the draft.
Pick 46: Philadelphia Liberty Willie Miller (CB) - LON
Sebster is a very active user and has a great personality. I only recently had interaction with them so my sample size is limited but they appear to be a lot more draftable than the low earning they have shown throughout the season seems to suggest. I think Sebster is another steal here for the Liberty and Philadelphia just continues to horde future talent in this draft.
Pick 47: Arizona Outlaws Beefcake Johnson (DT) - DAL
Ilmari07 seems to be active on the discord part but for some reason they have not earned at a rate that puts them above this position in the draft. Arizona does need defensive line depth and this fits that. If Ilmari07 can start to earn I think this is a great pick up for Arizona this late in the draft and with their limited draft resources.
Pick 48: New York Silverbacks Red Arrow Jr. (QB) - LON
RedArrow12c is another user I do not have much experience with or know much about. However, they were highly drafted in the DSFL draft and then turned in a great season of earning. The drop to here is simply because of being a QB and teams wanting to wait to get them from a deep quarterback class filled with recreates.
Pick 49: San Jose Sabercats Toy Robot (K/P) - POR
Undrafted, Toy Robot came in mid season and then began to earn pretty well as the season continued. I’m not sure if Grok is willing to switch positions, but even if not, the Sabercats do need a kicker for the future. Grok is a great user and is pretty active in the locker room so he’s more than worthy of a pick here.
Pick 50: Berlin Fire Salamanders Kacper Puntky (CB) - MINN
Jackkmart is another claim player who earned really well as the season went on. They also produce graphics by the looks of it and I think Berlin would be happy to get a player with a lot of upside here with only a small sample size of expectations from them.
Pick 51: Arizona Outlaws Gyles Marret (DE) - TIJ
I have not noticed FunnyMan around much and he started off strong going into the draft for the dsfl then dropped off in earning. Outside of those things, I can’t really speak too much more on this pick besides it being one of the last remaining users who earned at all in the draft.
Pick 52: Baltimore Hawks Taipan Pete (RB) - LON
Thatguy!...91 is a user who joined at the claim period and then earned a good amount of tpe as the season went on. I doubt he stays at runningback, but these picks from here on out are picks teams take with flyer hopes of being homeruns with a bit of push and motivation.
Pick 53: Colorado Yeti Phillip Weaver (TE) - POR
W19eaver slowed quickly out of the gates this season, but if a team could get them back into earning they would get a great user who would fill a position of need here.
Pick 54: Baltimore Hawks Aleksandr Vasiliev (WR) - POR
Another Portland player that if brought back would create an amazing pick here. However, alexaimbot has not been overly active and his earning shows that. Again, these picks are ones made in hopes they can scrape out value from users who might be slightly inactive or on the edge.
Pick 55: New Orleans Secondline Tay Heenie (OL) - POR
Unintentionally, another Portland player sits at this spot as the third in a row. Hummus God did not earn much throughout the year and I’m not sure, but they could be brought back into the fold and earn again to be a solid lineman for NOLA here this late in the draft.
Pick 56: Baltimore Hawks Rudy Gray (OL) - NOR
Magnet sits in this spot as another awesome user that I interacted with in the prospect bowl, but then suddenly disappeared as the season started and went on. The low earning is a complete shock to me as Magnet seemed like a high end user going into the DSFL draft. Who knows, but if they come back they could supply Baltimore with another lineman for the future.
Round 5 LOL
I wanted to do this round, but from this point on there are only very inactive players and it really makes no point on guessing who teams are gonna throw a dart at. Honestly, this draft was extremely difficult to mock due to so many talented users being available and so many different strategies of drafting this class being viable.
I do know that some of these teams are going to get absolute steals later in the draft and the beginning of the draft might be crazy with some trades as teams have taken to certain players in their locker rooms. Position switches could also shake the hell out of this draft and is just something I can’t play around unless someone specifically tells me that they are okay for a switch.
I hope you enjoyed reading it, and if you didn’t, well...improve your taste of media.
