The Austin Copperheads have had just brutal luck this season, but I think they still have the opportunity to turn it around and finish strong. Every game they've played this year has been decided by 8 points or less, and unless they are the literal equivalent of the San Diego Chargers (I refuse to recognize that many teams from Los Angeles, plus honestly it just rolls off the tongue better) from the last two seasons (2-11 record in one score games), the Copperheads have a good chance to revert closer to the mean and start winning some of those close games. While a 1-5 start is hard to overcome, they do still have one more shot at each of the five teams ahead of them in their division to try and even the gap between each of them. And if they can start getting ahead in games, their fourth overall ranked rushing offense and first overall ranked passing defense should help to secure victories by draining the clock when they have the ball and not giving up a bunch of yards to allow the opposing team to move into scoring range. The Copperheads are only being outscored by an average of 3.3 points per game, so if they can muster up either another touchdown or a field goal with one more defensive stop they should be in great position to start putting up more Ws in the win column.
