Welcome to Lucid’s London appreciation post; At the halfway point of this Season I wanted to take a moment and give a nod to @SaviorHawkins. He has been instrumental in maintaining a strong defensive presence after losing Glenn Smart, Willie Miller, and C.J. Sonjack to call ups this last season. It is also very clear that he is the early standout for London’s Defensive Captain position if he stays down another season. On the field Hawkins has been a true difference maker racking up three game balls through the first seven weeks. Currently leading the league in Pass Deflections and tied in first for forced fumbles, if the season ended today he would not only be my selection for Defensive Rookie of the year but would have to be in the conversation for the best Defender of the year. Off the field Hawkins has been fantastic partnering with Netflix to document the highs and the lows of his first season in the DSFL. His media contributions aside from entertaining are a great promotional tool for not just The Royals but the entire DSFL. Gearing up for this next scouting season in the ISFL I expect Hawkins to go early. Piece of advice to any General Managers that happen to read this add this man to your draft board and mark him high you will not be disappointed in the solid player and teammate you’re adding to your culture. Great Work Savior Hawkins keep it up and let’s bring another Championship to London.
