The fairest way to pick someone to travel over to England to give the workshop was to force the last one in for training to go. And that happened to be your favourite LB L'Gazzy Burfict. That's the last time he stops off on the way for an all you can eat breakfast buffet, I know that.
The workshop itself was, thankfully, pretty structured. Coaches Crunk and RB2 had worked hard to pull something fun and engaging together, in a way that not even L'Gazzy could go too wrong with it too. He played tape of some big plays, and some controversial decisions, and aksed the attendees what they would have done. He also gathered up their ideas for the next ISFL draft class, who they thought would be the next big thing. The only fear from them was the Q and A session to close out the workshop. And sure, Burfict didn't hold back in identifying players he'd love to brawl with, the agents who tamper and the best cafeterias in the ISFL.
But the most interesting part for most was with his own closing remarks. Burfict spoke passionately about never giving up, pushing to be the best and his quest for Ultimus glory with Arizona. In some ways, he said, the pressure had been off due to where he was taken in each draft. But the drive is by the individual and that is what's got him to position he is today, as one of the best in the game. The workshop organisers have asked Burfict to come back again... But hes waiting until Ultimus is secured before making a commitment because the boat ride over (he is afraid of flying after all) was a little sluggish and took him away from valuable chicken wing eating time.
