Dustin Parmelee is happy that it is not talked about very much. He knew he wanted to be a QB a long time ago. When he was still knee high to a grass hopper and throwing the pigskin around is all he ever wanted to do. There was a decision he had to make after high school. What college would he attend? That was an easy answer for DP as he had always wanted to play for the Buckeyes of Ohio State when growing up. He got the chance to play for his dream school. He started his freshman and sophomore seasons at The Ohio State University. Then his junior year came an injury that side lined him for most of his junior season. Then while in the end of his junior year, still rehabbing but almost back to form Parm became addicted to prescription pills and when we was drug tested by the NCAA they discovered he was still taking the pills, when he was only prescribed a months’ worth of pain pills. He would go crazy and accuse people of things if he wasn’t able to get high. This caused the Ohio State Buckeyes AD to relief Dustin of his scholarship, with the big game still left on the schedule. No more college, no more college football. He could transfer, but risk becoming ineligible for an entire year. He decided to go ahead and pursue an opportunity in the ISFL as playing football is his passion, and without playing the game due to injury he became somebody he didn’t like. He was lost without football. Thankfully Tijuana and London gave him opportunities in the DSFL, with Yellowknife waiting in the wings in ISFL.
