In an alternate life, Icebox still would've been very close to the game of football, just working in a different capacity. If he had slowed down on the strength training, conditioning, and other extra necessary things needed to become a football player and dedicated his time to hitting the books instead, he could've realized the other dream instilled in him by his football-loving parents - training to become a member of a football team's front office. Instead of just squeaking by in school, he could've had great grades and worked at finding an opportunity with a team in the ISFL, DSFL, NFL, or even a smaller league out of the country like the Canadian Football League - anywhere that would give him an internship-type position to get things started, or maybe even taking on the role of a scout instead. In any case, this new path would keep him close to the game that he and his family have always loved, just a different approach to things. From my understanding at least, it can be quite the slog to work your way all the way up through this system to eventually become a GM or whatever the scouting equivalent would be. But by approaching the situation with the same dedication and fortitude as Icebox has displayed on the football field fighting things out in the trenches, he could certainly adapt to this new path through life and come out on top.
