The path to football always seemed like a clear one in Jimi DeSoto’s heart, but realistically it wasn’t always a sure thing that Jimi would make it to the big leagues. In college, though he started at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as a highly touted high school prospect, to say he disappointed would be an understatement. He played so poorly that he rode the bench early in his freshman year till partway through his junior year. Only due to injuries to the current linebacker corps did he see the field. The rest is history. However, if those injuries to the starters would have never occurred, he would’ve followed in interests in archeology and completed his degree. This would’ve led him to pursuing the lost city of Atlantis. The ruins of this underwater city would be named the 8th wonder of the world. Jimi would’ve been lauded as the greatest explorer of modern times. He would’ve started a business to conduct submarine tours of the city without disturbing it’s structures. This tickets for these tours would be extraordinarily expensive to start with in order to establish a fund to continue the preservation and research of these structures. After building his fortune and ensuring the safety of the ruins, keeping other businesses in the world from exploiting their historic beauty, Jimi would open up the submarine tours for lower prices to the general public to be enjoyed by all. This contribution to society would make Jimi one of the most impactful people of the 21st century. Of course, this pales in comparison to the glory of playing in the ISFL, so clearly the current reality is the most preferred.
