If Lawrence Miller hadn't gotten into football, his life would be pretty different from the start. He'd have more free time, mainly to spend with others, his family, and friends. He'd probably had gotten a full-time job right out of high school, landscaping with his father. Or, maybe he would have gone into college for some sort of medicine, he was pretty good at science, his grades just hadn't always reflected that. Maybe he would have gone full circle, and gotten into sports therapy, or sports med, or something of the like. He could take that skill to the vet route instead, which he could have possibly enjoyed.
The difficult thing is, you could never really know. Of course, spending more time socially probably meant more parties than he'd already been going to, and one wrong choice could derail his life from there. Not uncommon for kids, really. But Lawrence, since high school, really seemed to have a bright future regardless of how football turned out. Hell, who knows, maybe he'd be living a better life if he never started playing. But it's hard to look at his time so far and say he'd regret it, it's fun for him. There's time after retirement to test himself with all the other ideas he had had growing up. He'd already gotten a few classes down with school, but there would be more to pursue.
