The New York Silverbacks are up against their biggest rival. It is 28-28 in overtime. Both teams have played stellar defense in overtime, and have punted the ball back and forth. The opposing team is in field goal range. The kick sails right through the uprights. The first and foremost question is who is New York’s biggest rival? We haven’t been around in the league for that long, but one clear team comes to mind. In the last couple seasons, every game between the Silverbacks and the Arizona Outlaws has been a TUF of war. Each matchup has been fierce, with the score being close most of the time. They are in the same division also, which means they play them twice a year. The Silverbacks also defeated the Outlaws in the Season 29 playoffs, helping cement the rivalry. With that out of the way, how does the locker room react? Our locker room generally handles losses pretty well with an “aw shucks we’ll get ‘em next time” attitude, but would that hold true with a loss of this magnitude? I would say yes, but with a little more disappointment than usual. Captain Rogers would definitely keep us motivated though. He is one of the most uplifting dudes in the league and is one of the team captains. I would probably be pretty disappointed at the loss, but it would make for a tweet to fill up my daily quota so I would probably be fine. Overall, I think we would just take the loss in stride and move onto next week. If this is a playoff game and there is no next week, then I don’t know I guess we’ll all be drinking our sorrows away.
