As the General Manager of the Chicago Butchers, I feel that it’s only right if I specifically talk about my favorite bot from the Butchers this season. We’ve only had two bots, and oh boy do they have a story that is tightly linked. One of our two bots is named Preseason Only BOT, while the other is named Boyle the Butcher. I’m sure you can already see which direction this story is heading… Let’s start off with the stats. Ol’ Preseason Only BOT ended this season with 42 pancakes and 0 sacks allowed. And they played 16 games. This is compared to Boyle the Butcher, who ended the season with 22 pancakes and 1 sack allowed. Here’s the thing though… Preseason was (clearly) just a 50 TPE bot from the preseason that was mistakenly left on our roster. Boyle was our top tier OL bot that was supposed to be a staple of our OL. Will this change teams’ OL strategies in the future? I have no idea, but it’s certainly something to consider!
