task 13
i don't know if the league should expand. i do think that isfl is very good at bringing in new talent, but the nature of the league means that there's far more turnover here and people i feel are more likely to recreate. therefore, i think that there is going to not be that much need for expansion given what we have and the amount we can fit in each team. given that my experience has been fully in the dsfl so far, being a football sim also means that teams are able to have so many players that stack up at multiple positions, while normally we have lots of bots to fill the position otherwise. based on what ive witnessed it also does seem like the growth of the isfl over the years has been fairly consistent and as long as you can keep it as is i dont think theres any point in getting an expansion done.
i do hope that given that we actually call it the international sim football league, if the leagues does expand it does get a few more representatives in international locations. something ive always wanted to see in a sim league is a team in canada with geese branding. there is a football watching population here, and yellowknife is a bit too far away to reach most of the market. i think if you did have it in say toronto id love to have a geese team. we shit on the competition etc.
otherwise, berlin is way too lonely in europe. it's popular in germany so we can give them a rival in say frankfurt, but one can also brand a team after a major european city. after all, we can pretend that they love football. some team in asia would also be great, no one is located there yet so far.
task 14
double doink stayed down and was like one of the few kickers (probably the only one) who did so as the wraiths did not really need a replacement and still even wont for next season. double doink enjoyed some time on the birddogs again and is doing hard work trying to do kick better this season.
for the most part, i think double doink did really well, being able to get most of the kicks in. i am very proud of the fact that i never missed a field goal from 30 yards in this entire time, giving me the highest kicking percentage in the regular season. i am somewhat disappointed in myself about the fact that i missed a good few from 30-39, but i do think that for the most part i was probably the best kicker in the dev league and got a good chance at getting some hardware this season.
punting, different story. this season i did get mad at my team for not letting me punt enough to get counting stats. imagine not getting a chance to play smh. why would a team ever want their punter to, like, not punt. not a great season, maybe i should have put some more into intelligence to help me increase my punting skills and get inside the 20 more often, but oh well.
low point? when we fucking signed @Asked Madden who couldnt hold a fucking football properly. mans held it completely slanted. we missed a god damn game winning field goal there and i couldnt have been more disappointed in everything. what is the point if you cant make the 30s to help keep your team in it. pain.
next season, looks like im staying down again. i'm cool with that, hopefully this time dallas will make a playoff run. we do have a solid core and i enjoy the team a lot, so looking forward to whats to come.
