I love this stuff! I wasn't sure if you were going to do one for S1 but I am happy as heck that you did. I'm not just saying all of this because I was scoring elite either.
How did you guys come up with my numbers for the different drills? I know you explained it a little but if I could get a bit more depth into those last for especially (3-cone, shuttle, broad, and vertical) I'd be really intrigued.
Im glad to get positive feedback! for those drills it was really difficult because we did not have any data specifically for it (especially the jumps). so with these I went more with correlations. Yes, I did use strength, agility, and speed (explained later), but also if you had a high run/pass blocking, you probably were a OL or TE who have lower verts. in terms of defense, D-linemen actually do have some pretty good hops so it kept it realistic on their stats. agility i thought as kinda of lateral acceleration, so you would still need to accelerate to have agility, so i put a little bit of that in there. kinda same for speed is that you need good leg strength to run fast and typically the smaller weight players have higher speed, so again, a little of correlation.
for the 3-cone and shuttle, i watched players who did those drills and saw where the accelration happened and how that carried them until it was more of them running than changing directions, then i calculated how much strength, agility, and speed goes where. the two drills need to differ, so again I had to go with correlations for blocking again and how the 3 cone had more endurance in it than the shuttle, i added a little of that stat.
I do not want to post the exact formulas since I KNOW people will start nitpicking here and there. this was made just so that people can brag about something.
