Step 1 to being successful in the ISFL. Networking. This is a social league full of cliques. Maybe it's better now than it used to be, but in this league it very much is all about relationships and who you know. You want to be a top draft pick? Make sure GMs love you. You want a job? Make sure the job and department heads know you. If you aren't in management chat, make an effort to get yourself in there. At the end of the day, that is where the sausage is made, and where you meet the people who make decisions in the league. Outside of that, just earn TPE. If you earn enough TPE, you can do pretty much whatever you want in the league short of harassment or posting porn (sorry Edd). So step 2 is to earn TPE and improve as a player. At the end of the day winning is important and this league has tolerated some straight up disruptive personalities because of the benefits they provided on the field.
