So to train the stars of the future Mark would conduct a training camp over the course of 4/5 days. Each day would consist of a morning of training, each day would focus on a different aspect of the sport. These aspects are physical both strengthen based and fitness based, mental drills (I.e play recognition) and also skill based.
However before each session is conducted there would be a 1 or 2 hour lecture on the drill ahead. The idea of this camp is to prepare the kids as best as they possibly can for the future ahead of them.
So the sessions then:
Monday = Strength based fitness work. Dynamic and static power, combine drills etc.
Tuesday = Metal based work, I.e reading offensive and defensive set ups. Reading OLine assignments etc.
Wednesday = Skill based work
Thursday = endurance fitness based work.
Friday = Skill based work.
Hopefully over the course of the week the star will learn loads but more importantly understand what could lie ahead of them.
