This season has been a tough one for the Copperheads. While some lackluster performances were to be expected with such a young core coming in, I don't think we expected Austin to be on the bottom rung with a 2-10 record at this point in the season. In what would be considered by many to be a rash move, the Austin media team decided to drop a bombshell that would keep fans invested during this rough patch - fake the death of their rookie quarterback, Queen Elizabeth II. The media stunt has resulted in a drastic uptick in merchandise sales and fans are so caught up in the moment they haven't had time to consider the team's record. In appreciation of all their support the team rode the wave and gave them all free commemorative bobbleheads. But now Austin is in an awkward position, as once the season comes to a close they'll have to find some way to explain to the world that QEII never died after all, and she'll be taking up her position as starting quarterback for the Copperheads very soon.
