From a purely selfish individual statistical standpoint, Mandrews McHollywoods Season 38 has been nothing short of an absolute unmitigated disaster. Through 16 games of his first season as New York’s number 1 wide receiver he has 71 catches for 802 yards and 9 touchdowns. The touchdowns, in which he is tied for 13th, is the only category in which he has performed up to what I would consider an acceptable level. This is extremely dissapointing on 2 levels, first as he swapped from possession archetype to speed in the offseason, bigger plays were expected, but he’s only managed a measly 11.3 yards per catch, one of the lowest for starting receivers in the league. He’s also taken over the number one spot in the passing attack, and he’s hardly lived up to those expectations. Luckily for the entire team rookie Matthew Mara has been even better than advertised and has a statline of 65 catches for 1,117 yards and 8 touchdowns.
