Donte Darius entered the year with high expectations. As the Dallas Birddogs’ 2nd round pick in the S38 DSFL draft, the team expected great things out of the versatile linebacker, and they hoped that maybe he could propel them into the playoffs once more. Unfortunately for both the team and Darius, they both have disappointed this season. As of the writing of this, the Birddogs sit at a measly 3-7. Darius has also struggled this season, collecting only 20 tackles and 3 sacks as the defense has struggled to stop much of anything. While the Birddogs season is basically over, Darius has much to prove during the end of the season and after it. A strong end to the season could help out Darius’ draft stock. He is still considered a first round pick due to his immense potential, but the right time is gonna have to draft him to unlock that potential.
