Task 36: PBE affiliate
Task 32:
Honestly, I quite like the rebranding of the Philadelphia Liberty. However, a part of me does feel bad as I am really new to the league and I quite liked the Philadelphia Liberty branding to be perfectly honest with you! but the Cape Town Crash is a really cool name and I genuinely find it cool to see teams move to different parts of the world as well! I am a massive sucker for the colour purple too so I think its pretty cool and the whole Rhino/Crash name combo is great! I think a part of me will miss the Philadelphia Liberty branding, but also there is a lot to like with the new Cape Town Crash, so I am looking forward to seeing their logos and uniforms in the sim. I do hope there might be other teams that would consider moving to different parts of the world, but this is a good start and pretty cool to see.
Task 23:
Well honestly my thoughts about the sim engine is that it needs a bit of work! I usually am not a big fan of the whole 2D simulation games and I am a big fan of Football Manager (but I can't bring myself to play in 2D), however, I do not mind the 2D visuals in ISFL. My main issue is that I wish there was a much better way to convey field goals and punts. At the moment we get a bar in the team colour to show the distance, but I do wish there was some 3D element which could show the football be kicked into the air and moved onto the 2D field to show where it landed. Also in terms of the simulation there does seem to be moments where the simulation just decides to do things that do not necessarily seem like the most logical decision. For example, the sim sometimes goes for it on 4th and long from time to time in a close game, which just makes it a little unfortunate for the team that gets screwed by that. I think increasing the sim logic would be a great start with the game.
Task 27:
I would most likely have gone Safety or Cornerback to be honest. I only ever really played Soccer/Football when growing up and in doing so I only played Left back/Right back, so I guess I was always defensively minded I guess. Something about defence is just so interesting and fun to me. Especially in American Football a big defensive play just swings the game in such a big way and changes the momentum. I went with Linebacker just because it gives me a chance to get sacks/tackles and potentially get some interceptions in coverage. So that's why I would have to go with Cornerback or Safety, just for the opportunity to get more interceptions and more massive momentum shifting moments on the defence. It's cool to catch or run in a touchdown, but making an interceptions just got such a different vibe and you can see that when watching american football tool.
