Tier 2 16 - Describe your player and/or team’s journey through this latest season. What were the highlights? What were the lower points? What might you have done differently? What are your expectations for next season?
Latest season for Arizona Outlaws went as good as possible to be honest. it seems like Ultimus hangover didn't exist for the team. While some old players retired and Jay Cue Jr. became a bit slower, some callups from DSFL, like Cue heir Danny Nedelko, helped to make up for it. The season started with 5-0 winning streak, including win over preseason contenders like New York Silverbacks, New Orleans Second Line and San Jose Sabercats. The good luck ended with the loss to Austin Copperheads. But then the wins continued. At half of the season Outlaws had 7-1 record, and clearly showed that they are a contender they were expected to be before the season. Especially when other teams suffered a lot unexpected losses (or wins, like Baltimore). Arizona finished the season really strong. 13-3 record, best offense in the league, second best defense and point differential over 100 points. The home advantage for the playoffs was pretty important for the team, that haven't lost a home game all season long. After beating Silverbacks in conference championship Arizona went to play against the surprising Ultimus opponent - Berlin Fire Salamanders. The luck that has supported Berlin all season finally wasn't enough and that's how Outlaws won rare back to back championships. The good measure of the season that the team had were the amount of awards it players got. Wendell Sailor finally got out of Cue shadow to get his second MVP award and also MOP for good measure. Mark Goodhead got Defensive Player of the Year. Even my player managed to win Defensive Rookie of the Year, despite not being a rookie (well, that bit is an history now). Overall Outlaws had 7 All Pros which shows the high quality of the team. And now with some new signings and callups the run for the coveted threepeat awaits. Me personally can't wait for it.
Tier 3 26 - if your player wasn't a professional in the ISFL/DSFL, what would they be doing instead
If his football career didn't turn out well Akaki Akarye would strive to become a chef and open his own restaurant. He liked to cook since he was a child and always helped his grandmother in the kitchen, learning and absorbing from here. While he was in college he had to it a lot of fast food and delivery food, and it quickly became obvious for Akaki that he doesn't really like it. Striving to get some healthy and balanced diet he started to cook more for himself, which wasn't that easy on the campus. But now with his pretty successful career he can travel a lot and visit some fine dining restaurants all over the world. This really helped Akarye to get a taste of what he wants to do and to eat. While now being rich enough to hire an own chef he preferred to visit cooking schools in offseason, like Le Cordon Bleu in France. So now Akaki can enjoy a nice meals cooked by himself. He plans to continue his culinary education and, probably, will go to become a fulltime chef after his career.
