*NEW* 9. There have been many moments in league history where a single decision (e.g., a draft choice, a GM’s promotion or retirement, a trade, a player’s movement in free agency) may have changed the course of a team in the ISFL or DSFL. Describe a decision that was made and the impact that it had. Did you imagine said decision leading to a different conclusion or did you think things would turn out the way they did? Is there anything different you would have done to avoid disaster or make things even better?
For this moment, we have to go way back to Season 10 and yes, it is far back, and yes, we are talking about the San Jose Sabercats' decision to draft Joliet Christ in the draft that season to change their history forever. To that point, the Sabercats to my knowledge had never won a playoff game and had some inconsistency at the quarterback position from the dawn of the league which was certainly an issue and a reason that they had not won anything significant at that point. There were two quarterbacks that were considered top of the class in Season 10 and that was Adriana Falconi and Joliet L. Christ. With an interesting decision always by Philadelphia to draft Lucari Felix 3rd overall, they left San Jose with their choice of QB. Now, maybe it was easy to just say, hey, we will take the other one but it could have been such a bigger choice. San Jose chose Christ to lead their team and be their franchise quarterback and although it was a struggle early on, Christ would become a top QB in the history of the Sabercats and in my opinion, the league. The future hall of famer led San Jose to 2 Ultimus championships and won one of them, against Falconi's Liberty. On top of that, the user, me, was involved by early on becoming the co-GM in San Jose. Not only did the team draft a hall of fame QB and get an Ultimus out of it, but they also secured a hopefully decent co-GM. Even then, on top of that, it started a relationship between the San Jose organization and myself. I am now on my 3rd player in San Jose but as CK knows, I can proudly say, that San Jose has never won an Ultimus without me on their roster in some form! This was truly a decision that changed the fate of a team and Christ himself potentially influenced a lot of QBs who wanted to run and everything down the line as well but that is for another story.

27. Imagine your current position was not available to be picked when you created your player. What other position would you have picked, and why? (Written Task)
This is one that I think everyone thinks about at some point, right? You choose a position and play for a little bit and then you are all of a sudden thinking about what position you will go next or what would have been fun to try. It is definitely one that I have thought about just because recently, although I have felt differently about it before, I do plan on recreating so I have to think about what is next. My last few players have not really been super max active or anything just because I have my priorities so I have to also think about possible positions where I would be okay not being max active and it is something I have thought about. I chose DT because it was not super demanding and feel like I have done okay at least so far. What other position(s) would I be though? For many years I have wanted to make a kicker and so that is always on my mind. It is one of my favorite positions since I wanted to be one in real life (kicker/punter) and I love the mental aspect of the position even though it is an "easy" position. It is perfect for a non-max earner but spaces are limited. Other than that, I likely would just want to stay on the offensive side though a return man specialist/nickel corner would be super fun to me as well. Likely a running back or wide receiver or even tight end would be ideal for me and just wanting to make a solid contributing player to one of the many teams in the league.
