The s38 season has come to a close, and it's time for a short recap of this DSFL season for the team and my player Cornelius King's performance. The Dallas Bdogs are putting a cap on a rather disappointing season, as we went 3-11, and despite that, I'm proud to say the locker room was still full of spirit. Also, not to mention, even though we finished 3-11, we were surprisingly not bad enough to be the worst team in the South as the Bondi Beach Buccaneers just had an all-time bad season as they failed to capture a win (just like the hallahahauahs of the ISFL: SOB: ). Even though the Dallas Birddogs are having a bad and disappointing season, it wasn't very unexpected, or rather, it was excusable. The Birdogs were hit with a lot of callups, including Matthew Mara and Turnbull, the team's 2 best wide receivers, and Bay Webb da Monsta on defense. I can't say I was mad with Mara and Turnbull getting called up on a player level because those callups directly opened a path for King as the team's #1 wideout. Also, Brock Landers, our team's former quarterback, chose to change positions to cornerback, so we had a new quarterback start who struggled a bit in his first season. Despite the team's troubles, Cornelius King had a career year, posting a season statline of 65 receptions for 969 yards and 9 TDs (good for 11th in the league in yards and 4th in TDs) with a stellar 15 yards per reception. He had 13 20-yard grabs and four 40-yard grabs, which were both career highs. Personally, I think it was a good season, but I kind of expected more from a near-maxed-out #1 wideout, but to be fair, he did have a rookie qb throwing to him. Anyway, the San Jose Sabercats have informed me that I'm going to be called up, finally!;!;!;!!! We just lost our #1 wideout, Lou, to free agency, so King is going to come in and be the team's #2. I'm very excited to see what the transition from the DSFL to the ISFL is going to look like, but we just have to wait and see.
