Prompt 13: This offseason task I decided to write about a player that isn’t my own. Quendyn Quarterstorm was a player that came in the same draft as me and we have had a very similar career path. Quarterstorm played college ball at the University of Washington. We both were drafted to the London Royals, he was their first round pick and second overall and I was their fifth round pick and 34th overall. In London, Quarterstorm was a defensive captain in our first season but I again followed him up and was voted defensive captain in our second season. After our first season in London we were both drafted to the Chicago Butchers. He again beat me in draft capital as he was the Butchers 2nd first round pick at 11th overall and I was their 3rd round pick at 34th overall. We each spent one more season in London before being called up in S37. In Quarterstorms time in London, he managed to get 137 tackles and 8 sacks, which is impressive for a Safety. He also had 17 passes defenses and two interceptions. Quendyn was also selected to one pro bowl while in the DSFL. In Quarterstorms first two seasons in Chicago he has been equally as impressive. In his first two seasons he has 123 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 interceptions, and 19 passes defended.
One thing that can’t be measured with stats is Quendyn Quarterstorms impact off the field. I’m the Chicago Butchers locker room, he is a constant positive presence. During games he always gives a play by play in case people can’t watch. He cheers for his teammates even more than he cheers for himself, which is sign of being an excellent teammate. I am happy to have been able to walk alongside him on our ISFL journey, from London all the way to Chicago.

Prompt 26: If my player wasn't a professional ISFL player my life would definitely be a lot different than it is now. I was never very good at school and probably only graduated from the University of Michigan because I was good at football and had a lot of tutors to help me through my classes. It is likely that if I didn't play football, I would not have even made it through college. With that said, I like to believe that maybe I would have followed one of my other hobbies. Perhaps I would be a professional E-Sports gamer or famous streamer. I think that my competitive nature would make me a good E-sports gamer, but it is more likely that people would tune in to my streams for a relaxed environment where everyone could chill. If not that, I would likely just be a normal guy, cutting meat for people at the grocery store.

Prompt 29: I think it is obvious or maybe I am biased but I believe that the best branding in the league belongs to the Chicago Butchers. The classic color scheme of black and red can not be beat. The team's name and location also has significant meaning. "Butchers" can be used as a mascot to strike fear into people, and one major example is Leatherface in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Fun fact, the inspiration behind Leatherface was Ed Gein, who was referred to as the "Butcher of Plainfield". Along with the intimation factor, Chicago is famous for meatpacking and butchering. In the 1800's, Chicago became a hub for meat processing and packing, and was even coined as "the hog butcher of the world". I also think that the personnel group names in the locker room "Yeetcleavers" and "Meatgrinders" are unique. The coupling of the mascot and location lock in Chicago as the best branding in the league.
