Walter Gunther, Defensive Captain of the Minnesota Grey Ducks, walks into the locker room where the rest of the team is waiting for him:
Gentleman, do you want to know why I hold the field as sacred? Why I uphold it in everything I do and say when I step in this building and in our stadium? Someone very close to me showed a museum of all the great players that have dressed for our sport. Men that moved mountains, defied odds and emerged as stronger every time they played. It was that visit to that museum that made me realize just how important this sport is and how important each and every position on a team is.
Everyday I train, everyday I play, I look to preserve and uphold the honour, dignity and respect of our sport. That field that they stand on with their dirty feet is sacred to those who truly understand this sport. I refuse to allow the image of the players of this sport to fall into ruination. Take the chances that life has handed you and if you follow me into battle, we will take down all of those in our path. For we are Grey Ducks.
WE ARE IMPERIUM
