The Hammer is a debut movie staring James Batista and Dave Batista. The movie is about when James Batista started his wrestling career that was inherited from his father Dave Batista. When he suddenly realized that the sport was not making good money, he switched to American football. In this process of transitioning to American football, he struggled transition into the sport as a wrestler. His father was against the transition into American Football giving him problems in the family. With the many struggles ahead for Batista his high school football coach Rex Reid becomes his personal trainer, psychologist, and personal mentor that will ultimately upgrade him into a 5 star recruit. Dave Batista persuades his son into getting a normal job and going into college. However this is not wanted by James Batista as he dreams into going to the ISFL that will go into a rift with his father
