8. This task is exclusive to non-recreate rookies of the S40 class and later. In 300 words or more, how has your experience been in the league? Who have you met that has made your time here more fun, friendly, and exciting? Have you been satisfied with your player’s early start? What was it like being drafted for the first time? Do you have any comments or suggestions for the entire league that you think should be implemented?
Having the first season behind me, I know that in the future I will look back on these first days and think about them happily. From the moment I joined the league until now, I have experienced a friendly and fun community. The activeness and lightheartedness of the channels for the league really have drawn me in. I’ve noticed that almost everyone here is just around to have a good time. It helps foster an inviting environment that is free of any aggressive competition. I have yet to experience any negativity from anyone, which is a big contrast from the rest of the internet. I’ve really enjoyed my team in the league thanks to all of that.
As for my player, the time I have spent so far being part of the London Royals has been great. The moment I heard about the draft and the presentation, although I was not able to watch it live, I knew it would be a fun setting. I was not mistaken in thinking that. All my teammates are friendly and are always ready to lend a hand. Also, thanks to the help of my team, I was able to receive guidance on how to best apply my TPE to improve my player. I think that thanks to this, I have been placed in a good position as I finished out my first season.
I would like to thank the league for how easy it was to get into the groove of things around here. The checklist on the front page of the forum, which I learned was a recent addition, has been extremely helpful in making sure I know that I am completing all the tasks available every week. The forum can be a bit daunting to navigate, especially as a first-time player, but the checklist helped highlight the important and related activity. So kudos to whoever came up with that idea.
18. This task is exclusive to recreate/non-recreate rookies of the S41 class and later. The season is over and the draft is coming up. What do you bring to a team, and why should a team choose to take a chance on you next season? (Written Task)
Nick Williams would be a great addition to any team. As a high TPE earner and an active member of the forum, teams would not be worried about my player going inactive. I have been able to provide a steady form of income thanks to my participation in creating graphics. Thanks to that, I have been able to purchase the max tier of equipment for the seasons I have been a part of, leading to that sweet sweet 30 TPE. I am also an extremely flexible teammate and would be willing to help out an ISFL team in any way I could. This could be in the form of a position swap if necessary or even something as simple as applying TPE in a specific way so as to help the roster in areas in which they may need more assistance. My constant participation and commitment to the league would be a great asset to any ISFL team.
26. if your player wasn't a professional in the ISFL/DSFL, what would they be doing instead? (Written Task or Graphic Task)
If Nick Williams was not a professional in the DSFL he would’ve chosen to be a carpenter. Nick has always liked to work with his hands. When he was not spending his time practicing for football he would spend it in the woodshop in the backyard with his dad building all kinds of different furniture. Nick has always found satisfaction in seeing how a shapeless piece of wood is transformed into a comfortable but sturdy chair or chest or table. It is an activity that he finds to be relaxing and which brings a sort of purpose to his life. Even now, when he heads home after practices or games, he likes to set some time to work on smaller wood pieces. So, if he had not been able to make it into the professional world of football he would be a proud owner of a furniture store with his dad where he sold the woodwork that they created with their own hands.
