I've really been loving the league so far. I'm someone who has never even heard of these types of sim leagues, but has always been a huge fan of football, fantasy leagues, and football-GM type games. Even other sports gm games like soccer, despite not being a soccer fan. So when I was browsing the r/nfl subreddit and saw this post, I was very interested. Reading more into it the idea of being able to draw up some creative writing for media posts, help come up with lore for this giant simulated league without needing to take said media too seriously (but also very much having the option to do so), was such a cool idea. It hooked me right away. The experience in the league has been a lot of fun, and very welcoming too. Lots of players, especially a few other s41 rookies and pretty much everyone on the Minnesota Grey Ducks, have been very helpful in introducing me to the league, how it works, and setting up all these different community games and projects. Jumping into a Town of Salem game every once in a while in the meantime has been a great side game to this group. Overall I've been happy with my first ever player's start as well, both the DSFL and ISFL drafts have been really exciting. The very beginning after starting with the prospect bowl and seeing all those players get drafted to compete against each other in the DSFL was a lot more exciting than I thought it would be, then ten fold for the ISFL with those on the Grey Ducks I've been talking with and getting to know over the last weeks, it was great to see everyone get drafted. As for any suggestions, I think the only suggestion I would have would be to somehow find a way to combine a good chunk of the different discord servers into fewer. There are soooo many servers, and especially during draft season where you get invited to a lot at once, it can be overwhelming. That was close to driving me away early on, but I was glad I stuck with it.

This was the most exciting question by far, I love the idea of expansion into further areas for the sim league, and it was even the very first subject I talked about in a media post. I think mostly because I'm really interested in the NFL's possible expansions, and the idea of the NFL becoming more widely popular around the world, and not just in the US. My first idea for an ISFL expansion would be the Netherlands. The sport is becoming more popular there with the NFL games played nearby in Berlin, but I also love the Netherlands as a whole. I know spots for expansion in this league will be slim, with only two or so added at once if the playerbase expands enough, so I won't go so far as to double dip into my expectations here. But a Amsterdam or Rotterdam or The Hague based team would be great. The branding would likely go orange as most national dutch teams tend to be, and with the lions taken by London, perhaps The Hague Justice could be the league's next team. If we wanted to stay within the US for the second team of the expansion, my vote would go right away to New England. So to advocate as well for the other side of rather than only adding territories that don't see much love, add those who are already huge football fans, but are somehow missing from the league! When New York, Chicago, and Kansas City are all represented in the leagues, how is it that New England or at least Boston is missing? Or if the wish was to expand outwards more, a joint Northeast team for New England and Quebec or Newfoundland would have a ton of great branding ideas. The Northwest Mariners, the Acadia Argonauts, the Boston Beacons, the nautical themed named for this seafood-loving area are unending.
