New York City offers no shortages of opportunities for community outreach. From homeless shelters to soup kitchens to something as simple as picking up litter from the many dirty and disgusting sidewalks and alleys scattered around the block, which is exactly what Mandrews found himself doing the day after his 65-yard game-winning touchdown reception in overtime against the Austin Copperheads. The overly-populated situation found around every ISFL stadium just about always leads to massive amounts of trash that needs to be cleaned up after game days. In order to encourage the fans to keep the stadium and its surrounding areas clean, Mandrews hosts a “Win the game? Clean your seat.” event that encourages fans to clean their surrounding area after a Silverbacks win. If every single person cleans a little bit up, then as a whole the trash is taken care of and is not left in the seats or dumped outside the stadium.
