The Chicago Butchers held their annual Community Cookout event last weekend. For rookies like Rico Savage, this was the first time they were able to take part in this experience. Rico started the day early as it is customary that the team’s rookies help set up the event. Rico was in charge of driving around the city picking up meat from various local butchers and buns from local bakeries. Once those were rounded up, Rico helped set up canopies and then tables and chairs to go underneath them. Once the event started, Rico, whose dad is a self-proclaimed ‘grill master,’ threw on an apron and started churning out burgers and bratwurst for the rest of the day. When all was said and done, Rico had served 500 hungry fans, a number his dad would surely be proud of. After partaking in leftovers, Rico and the rookies were once again called into duty, this time as cleanup crew. By the end of the day, Rico was exhausted but had a fulfilling day meating the local community and couldn’t wait for next year’s BBQ.
"...TheRake may be the most controversial new player of the S41 class. Notorious not only for shamelessly tampering but also for confidently arguing his broadly incorrect NFL opinions, TheRake has managed to navigate the dangerous waters of controversy fairly well—which is no small feat!" - aeonsjenni
