Now that we are halfway through the DSFL season the Minnesota Grey Ducks' GMs decided to organize a community day. An oportunity for the locals to meet and interact with their favorite developmental football Team. The whole event was a charity fundraiser for Meals on Wheels and the local chapter of the Boys and Girls Club. The Ducks all got assigned to initial roles that swapped throughout the day.
Hank's first assignment was the dunk tank. Of course it was. Hank already not use to the chillier temperatures of Minnesota got to fall over and over into sub 60 degree water. He didn't mind though since it was for a couple of good causes.
Hank's second position was to man the face painting booth, though he was more of a supporting act the main attraction. Hank got to take photos with fans and sign some merchandise.
Through ticket sales and a silent auction, items were donated by local businesses, the Ducks were able to raise $15,000 for each charity. Hank enjoyed it so much he wants to take time every month to visit the Boys and Girls club and teach them about football.
