Craig Brand wasn't sure what to think when his agent informed him that he'd be spending the day performing community outreach by working as a volunteer football coach at a school for troubled youths.
Thankfully, it turns out being 6 foot tall and nearly 240 pounds makes playing full contact football against 13 year olds absolutely hilarious. He was advised by the other coaches and program organisers to take it easy on the kids, just feign contact and let them tackle him to boost their confidence, but does that sound like the professional standards imposed upon him by the ISFL? Absolutely not.
Brand ended the day's first match with 28 TFLs, 19 Sacks and 15 force fumbles, truly career defining numbers. Simply put, he had the time of his life and put up some excellent stats on the board. The cheers of the crowd were essentially drowned out by the screams of terror as young deliquents fled the field, fearing for their life.
All in all, a smashing success.
