DJ Maclean is always a hard worker, but he’s taking it to another level, as he tries to help Bondi reach the playoffs again. His numbers for this season have been underwhelming, but that is somewhat expected when you’re on a team that starts 0-5. A recent move to Outside Linebacker, the position he dominated in at college, has meant he is now looking at teams differently, looking to exploit their fragility at the edge. It served him well, picking up a pair of sacks against Portland, albeit in a losing effort. He is putting insane amounts of time into film study with the coaching staff, and also on his own. Some more sacks down the stretch would be ideal, he knows he has it in him, he just needs the play to go his way. Expect an aggressive pass rush coming from Maclean as he tries to push the buccaneers over the line, and maybe earn himself a call up to San Jose in the offseason as well!
