Prompt Wrote:It’s the final stretch of the regular season, and only a few qualified will keep going. Describe what your player is doing to elevate their game in hopes of making the playoffs! Are they trying different workouts? Did they change the healing crystals to the right ones? Give all the details!
Unfortunately, the Copperheads were already unable to make the playoffs after week 13 seeing as we had 4 wins and 3 other teams had 8+. As a result, I'm not exactly trying to elevate my game for playoff reasons. Instead, I'm trying to do what I can to finish on a strong note and head into the offseason ready to come back as strong as possible next year. But that being said, the key thing that I've found helps in my time here is consistency - creating good habits and then executing them every practice and every game. Trying harder because playoffs are on the line just ends up being a good way to overthink action on the field and then fail to execute my assignment correctly. Similarly, overreacting to when my teammates have problems is a great way to turn a small problem into a spiral of escalating mistakes. So, keeping things smooth, keeping up my weekly training and team checkins, and working with the other DBs to ensure we're working together on the field as smoothly as we can - those are the kinds of things I've been doing all season and see no reason to change it just because of the playoffs.
