Bork Bjornsson doesn’t really have any good luck charms or “rituals” of notable importane, but he does have pre-game habits that he follows extremely consistently, almost religiously. 5 AM wake up. Head to the gym. Do some squats, deadlifts, and bench presses (nothing crazy, just to get those core muscles nice and pumping). Maybe do some curls so his arms look nice on the tv. Get some quick cardio in. 6:30 AM eat eggs and oatmeal. 7 AM meditate for an hour. 8 AM head over to the Yellowknife stadium or hotel lobby. Watch game field. Go over game plan one more time with teammates and coaches. 10 AM eats a pre-game power meal consisting of two bananas, a protein bar, an orange, and some yogurt. 10:30 AM pre-game poop. 11:30 AM heads out to the field for warm ups. Jogs around with his headphones in. Pretends to be in deep philosophical thought about the game. Does some stretching. 12:30 PM heads back into the locker room to get changed into pads. 12:45 PM heads back out to the field to do final walk throughs with team. 1 PM game starts. Plays game. Hopefully wins. 4:30 PM (or somewhere around there) game is over. Talk to other team and media. Get unchanged. Heads home.
This may seem like just a regular schedule, but Bork follows this schedule almost religiously, hence why it’s a kind of “good luck schedule.”
