With the New Orleanas Secondline being in a clear rebuild, first overall pick Dino Nuggets was thrown into the fire as the team’s starting number two cornerback in week one. Even though Nuggets had the talent, he lacked the experience needed to shine early. It didn’t take long for Nuggets to get his first “welcome to the league” moment, where he would get a first hand look at the talent difference between the DSFL and ISFL. In the third quarter of week one against the Berlin Fire Salamanders, Nuggets would give up a crucial 17-yards touchdown against wide receiver Zayne Dangle. That touchdown allowed the Fire Salamanders to tie the game up at 14-14. The Secondline would go on to lose the game by a touchdown, 17-24. Zangle finished the game with seven receptions, 111 yards, and the touchdown on just eight targets. Nuggets finished the game with six tackles. Since then, Nuggets has had his ups and downs but continues to make strides as a player.
