Like many athletes, I'm very superstitious & try to stick to a strict routine before each game, until things fall apart then all bets are off. My typical routine starts with a light lunch, normally some sort of pasta with a little chicken thrown in for extra protein. If we're playing at home, I'll usually drive myself to the field to get myself mentally prepared for gameday. Once I get there, I like to talk strategy with my boys Dan Miller & John Canton, as they're the heart & soul of our defense. After that, I'll do some on-field drills with the rest of our secondary (reading/jumping routes, recovering loose balls, etc). When we come back into the locker room, I like to take some time to myself for last-minute reflection & get locked in for the game. This last minute prep usually includes throwing my headphones in for some good warmup music. My gameday playlist may vary a little from week to week, depending on my mood, but there are 2 staples at the end, "Feel Invincible" by Skillet & of course my alma mater's fight song "Hail to the Victors". Can't say for sure but I'd have to think my boy Johnny has that last one in his playlist as well, just the way we were groomed in Ann Arbor. After that, it's gametime & I'm locked in & ready for a dogfight.
