At the end of McAlister's 3rd season in the ISFL, he had a big choice to make, to test free agency, or stick it out in the new rebuild under the new OCO regime. Ace didn't feel like he was being used to the best of his ability during those first few OCO seasons, so testing FA was a real option on the table, where he believed he would garner lots of interest from all teams across the league, but the new GM met with McAlister and assured him that he would be one of the key pieces of the rebuild, and laid out their plan to make OCO great again. After much pondering, McAlister decided it would be best to stick it out with the Otters. With several All Pro Teams and Pro Bowl nominations, it seems like McAlister made the right choice for both himself and the franchise, which seems to finally be on the upswing after many seasons in the gutter.
