12. Write about your team’s biggest rivalry and what makes it so fierce. Is the competition founded in statistics and the team’s recent performance, or is it a rivalry that developed over time during the team’s history that would exist regardless of statistics?
I think Arizona’s largest rival has to be none other than Honalulu. I think some very key similarities are very important for this and should be taken into account. During Arizona’s rise to dominance, there was one other team holding the same place atop the league. That was the Dynasty of Honalulu. That was the main team that Arizona had to defeat on their way to their first championship of the current run. Honalulu were repeat champions, and favorited for a third that season, and finally defeating them Arizona has successfully went on to make the finals each season since. They even endured seasons of an aggressive rebuilding Honalulu team all the way back to prominence. In fact, last season Honalulu looked to be back in top tier form and it looks to me as if this clash of the titans are back on, and we are going to be seeing a lot of these two teams going off against each other in the playoffs for the next several seasons.
Another similarity in my mind is the reputation of these teams during their dynasties from the rest of the league. There appears to be some very clear hatred, or at least strong dislike from the other teams. Now it is understandable to be jealous of winning teams, after all you want to win, and if one team gets perceived as winning too much, you want to take them down. I think Honalulu could be the ones completing that circle, and being the dagger to the Arizona dynasty.
The final similarity are these two teams are the only teams that Hall of Fame snub, All Star Tight End Ragnar Krashwagen played on. Both teams were unable to win anything with him on their rosters, but I think it is pretty clear cut that he was good luck, because directly after his tenure within a few seasons, both of these teams went on game breaking runs of success.

My thoughts on the sim engine are this: It could use work, and I will go on to list areas I think need improvement, but I think it could easily be a lot worse. The specific logic areas of improvement that I can think of are clock management later in the game or half, decision making given the score and potential time remaining, and 4th down choices. One thing that comes to mind is even if you are playing very conservatively, if you are down by 7 with 30 seconds left and 4th and goal you will be 100% going for the touchdown. The engine seems to like kicking a fg in that situation. There are more like it.
Graphically I think the dots are fine. I worry about putting too much resources into a graphics engine can lead to worse performance in other aspects. Take SHL as a direct example of this. I think the diamonds were fine for graphics, but they moved to the skating 2d engine and it looks weird. It does clearly strange things and I think their viewership has tanked in part of that. Give me moving dots!
