Brock Lesnar had an exciting year in his rookie campaign with the Austin Copperheads. The call-up came as a surprise, where he got the news during the Seawolves Ultimini Championship Parade. However, he was excited and ready for the next step in his career.
He got a positive welcome from his teammates, and immediately found a groove as he began working with his new teammates. He could tell the level of play in the ISFL was a step higher than anything he had seen before, from the DSFL to college.
The atmospheres were also pretty fun, a big step-up from the smaller DSFL fans he had been with over the last few seasons. It is hard to hear the fans on the field, but with the defense active, Lesnar loves seeing the fans as he rests on the bench. He also felt satisfied with his overall performance this season too.
A big highlight of the season was his overall consistency. He wasn't able to pancake a lot of players, but that's to be expected being such a new player. He's only recently been able to train with some of the true high end technical products that ISFL teams utilize.
The consistency may have been hard to see, but it was evident whenever he was facing a defender. He only allowed 1 sack in the entire season, a pretty nice feat for a Rookie. He also had an alright pancake total too, but he and the team was most proud of him not making too many errors.
The big downside of the season was the overall finale. The Copperheads had a heartbreaking end to the year, losing out on the final matchup of the regular season and missing the postseason. Lesnar is optimistic though, having won a trophy everywhere else he's been, he hopes to eventually bring Austin to glory, although it is harder to do from the trenches.
28. Football Rule Changes (244 words, +2.5 TPE)
What rule changes would I make if possible to football? Well, I wouldn't make any wild sweeping changes, but I do have a one ideas that could make the game more fun, or interesting. At least when a winner has to be determined
The biggest change of mine would have to deal with overtime. I hate the current NFL system, first TD wins. I'd instead have overtime be a 10 minute quarter (or as long as it currently is) and whoever is leading at the end of it wins, and a tie follows if there's no winner. That same rule would be fun for the ISFL, but one question remains. What about the playoffs?
Here's where the fun part about this is. If overtime finishes and it's still tied in the playoffs, we can't just call the game a tie. It's not the NPB where they unironically have ties and once had a fun game 8 in a series. No, we need a shootout. One different from college football.
FIELD GOALS BABY! Yes, that's right. I'd have a field goal shootout, where kickers take turns hitting field goals at longer and longer distances, in a sudden death format after an initial stage of 3 rounds. The scenes would be legendary, watching your kicker try to make a 50 yard field goal to save the season in a playoff shootout. Would be so much fun in real life, and even more so in the ISFL.
