Nakiri Ayame is already a well known recording artist in her native Japan. But, she has been approached for a collaboration with popular American singer Olivia Rodrigo. The song is a hybrid of English and Japanese pop, with Ayame singing the Japanese portions of the song. The music video would be filmed in the streets of Osaka, with Rodrigo accidentally stumbling upon Ayame’s mafia, then it’s revealed that the mafia actually enjoy Rodrigo’s music and stumble upon Ayame singing a Japanese cover of one of her songs, and Rodrigo then suggests to Ayame to make a song that would appeal to both of their fans. They eventually came up with a song known as "One Pride", which celebrates what makes all of us unique and special, but also denounces hate and tells the world to be more open to others and to embrace love and reject their prejudices of their world and realities.
