Throughout the 45 seasons of the ISFL there has been a quite a number of stand out moments that had shaped the league. From great recruitment drives, to multiple teams having a dynasty in the 45 seasons. But you also have stuff like majority of a team's players all retiring in the first few seasons, or all of Noble's shenanigans. But the one moment that I think really shaped the league, for the better or for the not, would have to be the major multi scheme affecting the Arizona Outlaw. At the time, the Outlaw were just coming off winning the three first Ultimus, and losing to the winner of the fourth one in the playoffs. It all started when an anonymous user posted an article shinning light to similarities of the PT of three users, pointing to the fact that they might be multis. But I don't think that anonymous user, or any others, would have realized that those three users was just the beginning, and in the multi account would officially double, with potentially triple or quadruple the amount of users being multis than what was originally expected. That article would quickly gather users attentions and would lead to more speculations, ones for and ones against a multi situation occurring. And with more users taking notice, more investigations would start taking place, with one user finding that the numbers of users that could be a multi going up to 12 users, which of course is not a good thing. So head office would have had to take these accusations serious and do a through investigation into the matter. Which they had made officially clear that they were investigating the issue, but from the sounds of things, were not really buying into the fact that there was a vast range of multis on the site. But the discussions and the attacks would continue on, even after the head office official statement was released, as there appeared to have been more smoke than what one would expect to see from a non-multi situation. And despite the head office statement about the case, and their initial beliefs that it was just a coincidence, they rightfully continued on investigating the claims. And just a month after the initial anonymous article was released, the head office would make an official punishment on the matter, noting that the user Er had a confirmed six multiple accounts, with an possible three other multiple accounts, leading in all to nine possible accounts that they were controlling. However because of the three other accounts couldn't have been confirmed that they were being controlled by Er, the head office could only give a punishment on the six accounts that they had confirmed to be multis. And all six of those accounts were on the Outlaw, same team that Er was on. So with the confirmation of the fact that they were multis, they were banned and Er received a harsh penalty for being the puppets master behind all of the accounts. Now as for why this had shaped the league, especially something so early into the league's history, one is the fact that it had happened so early in the league's history. With the league just getting going, having a major scandal like this, especially one following another major scandal again Noble, would negatively hurt the league's reputation and ability to grow, had head office not done a good job in containing the scandal but also moving on from it. As well having the multis be part of the very first dynasty of the ISFL was not a good thing to have happened to the league, and could have tarnished things. But as we can see, 40+ seasons later, that was not the case. And that is why I think the Outlaw multi scandals is one of the major moments in shaping the league's history.
