My draft class is pretty amazing. It was pretty humorously filled with some of the tropes that we come to expect - returning users seem to have an edge up on first gen users, which only leads to the opportunity to snatch real draft steels late. The fascinating thing with this excellent class of 46 is it is so damn diverse. It has everything you could possibly want from a draft class - High earners in every position imaginable. There really should be no excuse for not doing well this draft as there is an excellent player in any position imaginable. Now, I expect out of this class there should be a good 10 players who will have legitimate HoF shots which I think is much higher than normal.. I feel like we induct roughly 3-4 players per class so this is primed to absolutely blow them away.
One interesting competition from the draft is going to be watching the elite running backs preform over their career. We have 3 high octane running backs in Purdy Mediocre, Corey Trevor, and Scorch von Turbo and scorch even has already started their trophy collection with the MVP in the DSFL in their rookie season no less. These three backs are primed to take the ISFL by storm over the next few seasons and should be high fantasy pick standards for years to follow.
Another interesting competition from the S46 class to look at is kickers. We boast 3 very high earning kickers with Hearty Harry, Wynn Jenkins, and Jack Sloth. Sloth is Accurate, Harry is Cover and Jenkins is Power, so it will be very neat to watch how their careers start to play out, if any one of these specific styles is much better than the other. As of writing it seems Jack Sloth is pulling slightly away from the rest, but it will be very interesting to watch how that plays out of the field. Will there be a noticeable difference between the three of them in percentage or average punt distance? what about run backs, will they be able to deliver punts without much opportunity for a run back?
One last competition that I want to touch on is the highly contested position of Offensive Line. Now S46 does only boast the 1 OL in Octavio Volarus, and he is the Athlete archetype which after reading on some Fantasy Media might lead one to believe they are worse, but it this authors belief that while mauler gets more stats, Athlete gives so many off paper benefits and helps support teams better, so tpe for tpe this is the best archetype. Coming into the draft at just under 200 tpe it will be quite interesting to see how Volarus preforms over his career. If he finds success that he yearns for, if he gets to that fantasy relevance that so many people associate with success.
