1. The Tijuana Luchadores had a contentious path to get to the Ultimini. I know, weird words to use, but let me remind you that in the DSFL, nothing is ever easy. While the team that went 4-0 in the preseason and 13-1 in the regular season, all it takes was one loss in the playoffs to get rid of that all. But let’s recap on how we got there. Let’s start off with the DSFL draft, and the Luchadores did some fanaging, some trades, some wizardry, to be able to pick b2b at 8 and 9. With #8 they picked RB Phenom Corey Trevor, another RB for the RB Gods. TIJ doesn’t know there is another position outside of RB on offense, and picked up a stud who would contribute greatly to the offense. Then at #9, we picked up what would be a welcome and great addition to our linebacking corps, Oxford Comma. He would develop into a stud that would get called up after his first year. Our next pick would be at 24, where we would take another 1 and done, a electric K/P Jack Sloth. He would bang In field goals and volume and efficiency. Then to our Valuble IA’s at 32 and 40, earnest splash at CB and Ex Ecute at DE. Valuable because they don’t take up another GM bot space. Now for the regular season, smooth went as smooth nearly could. The abundance of skill positions on the team would allow us to let RB cook as WR while staying efficient on running and still racking up the yards. As a team, we were the second most efficient at 4.8 YPC with a league leading 17 touchdowns. Our wide receivers were still green, but manage to get third in Yards and in touchdowns, and that was all thanks to our general at the help, C. G Breezy Jr.. He led the leauge in passer rating at an actual record breaking 112.3 Passer rating, surplating the last TIJ quarterback, Lloyd “Banhammer” Bannings. He also was 3rd in Yards, led in passing percentage, and had a ludicrous 33/6 TD to INT ratio. His steady rythym was able to keep the Luchadores in every single game, except for that one time in KCC where the cyotes in week seven handed the TIJ their only loss on the season. However, 1 loss still means playoffs, and boy did we cruise into them. The Luchadores averaged 32.9 points a game on offense, and only allowed 15.8 points on defense. They have what I believe to be the best point differential in league history at 239 +. The Luchadores entered what would be their mightiest challenge in the DSFL South Conference Championship, which would be the Dallas Birddogs, which was actually, one of the easier challenges as the Luchadores cruised to a 41-16 victory. Breezy Jr. shook of some postseason rust, and had a day with 110 qb rating, but the true star of the show was our favorite Star Wars man, Kit Fisto. He racked up 157 total scrimmage yards and 4 touchdowns on the day, single handedly defeating the Birdogs. Tyrell Ramsey was also gifted a pick by them birddogs. Then for the Ultimini, the Kansas City Coyotes was out matchup. Would the team, the only one that was able to figure out our team and beat us the entire season, beat us again. To be frank, this was a matchup that scared me the most when I should have been calm and smooth sailing. Our testing revealed a 95% win rate, but trust me, that 95% scared the hell out of me. But, we did it. We won b2b ultimini’s, and i couldn’t be more proud of my team
