This draft was a relatively short one, so the Copperheads just gained two new players off the board. For their first pick, they picked up a new running back from the Dallas Birddogs named Seventh Rounder (who, it turns out is better than a seventh round pick), and a new Kicker from the Norfolk Seawolves named Matthew McDairmid Jr. Both players show some pretty solid promise for Austin. Although it's still super early in the season and hard to tell for sure how they'll develop going forward, McDairmid's got a solid 100 FG% this year so far. Seventh Rounder has swapped over to wide receiver and so far it's not going half bad for him either. In his first game he caught 6 passes for 94 yards. From a locker room perspective, Rounder in particular has been a huge addition for the team. Despite not getting called up to the big leagues yet he really helps keep things popping. The future looks bright for the defending champs.
