The San Jose SaberCats are a team that has been on the upswing these last few seasons, even if results haven’t fully reflected this. The team is still fairly young overall, so there hasn’t been a huge amount of change in the team between last season and this, which will help with cohesion. There was one call up from the DSFL, Tijuana star running back Kit Fisto, a player the ‘Cats have big hopes for going forward. Lord Farquaads has stepped into the Offensive Line, powered by an all-donut diet to put on the required weight. Fisto will be part of a 1-2 punch in the backfield with Dogwood.
In terms of draftees, the Cats went with a highly rated WR and an LB to step up and join the elite corps that is currently destroying backfields and QBs for fun. A well-earning WR would also be an excellent complimentary piece to star receiver Keanu Calhoun, and will be ready to be a weapon as young QB Patterson hits his peak.
