Coming off of a loss in the S45 Ultimus, the Sarasota Sailfish didn’t waste any time dwelling on the past and hit the offseason on a mission. Through the draft and free agency, the Sailfish came away with three acquisitions that all have the potential to be critical pieces for the Sailfish in the short term and the long term. In free agency, they reeled in another speedster at the wide receiver position in Sam Mercury. He’ll line up opposite of star receiver Johnny Blaze Jr. and will present a real problem for secondaries. In the draft, the Sailfish also snagged two top tier talents after navigating the draft via a couple of trades. The new additions of Miller Light and Leopold Roy have the Sailfish defense looking at some real playmakers for several seasons to come. In fact, they’ll be calling on Miller Light to make some plays right away as he steps right into a starting position in S46 and is ready to prove his worth.
