Seeing him play now, nobody would argue that Will Nuck shouldnt have been picked in the most recent DSFL draft. The biggest question is where he may have landed if the young man would have joined an American division 1 school instead of taking the Canadian university path. Nuck choose to stay in his home country of Canada and join the UBC Thunderbirds football program over many lucrative offers from American schools that would have seen him receive a much larger spotlight. It has been argued that Nuck may have been a first round talent but slipped to the 4th round due to under exposure of playing in the north.
It could also come to be reasoned that the young man may have been chosen sooner based solely on the fact that he was scouted against easier competition in a league that does not produce many pro football players. The only fact we truly know is that Nuck has embraced his place in Kansas and has hit the field running!
