One thing that I think about often is how different my time in the ISFL would be if the legendary season 41 draft had shaken out another way. Even simply rising up one spot to third overall or falling down one to fifth would have changed so much. Would the timeline to become an ISFL GM have changed much? Would I even have become a GM at all? Maybe I would have stuck around long enough in Portland to be the GM who breaks the streak.
The one thing I can be sure of is that I would still be an active member of the ISFL community no matter where I had ended up. The league has become one of my top hobbies, if not number one. I am sure that I'd enjoy being on a team with the numerous other options for teammates, but I sure am glad to be living in the universe in which I went 4th overall to Orange County.
