Despite a recent loss to Chicago, the Otters are still primed to be a major contender in the postseason. Part of the reason we are in this position is because my recently retired player, Eliot Bukowski, is playing like arguably the best kicker in the league. But besides that special teams excellence, the team has done well on both sides of the ball. Previous iterations of the Otters seemed to only show strength on one side of the ball or the other, despite the TPE levels. However, you need both to be a championship team. Bannings and Shrub are producing points, and the defense is forcing stops and creating key turnovers. I am elated at the opportunity to contend during this last season of my kicker, considering when I joined the Otters, we were in an old spot of sort of rebuilding, but with some high TPE veterans still on the roster. Our GM's have done well in the draft and free agency to create a solid foundation of young talent that I'm sure will aid the Otters for seasons to come.
