9. There have been many moments in league history where a single decision (e.g., a draft choice, a GM’s promotion or retirement, a trade, a player’s movement in free agency) may have changed the course of a team in the ISFL or DSFL. Describe a decision that was made and the impact that it had. Did you imagine said decision leading to a different conclusion or did you think things would turn out the way they did? Is there anything different you would have done to avoid disaster or make things even better?
As a former life member of the Arizona Outlaws franchise, i have been through different phases while on the team. Ranging from season 18 until season 41 or 42, can't remember exaclty, there are a couple of decisions that completely changed the teams future. And both had to do with draft picks.
Since forever, the Outlaws were seen as a "bad team", with a "toxic culture". Why? No idea. General Manager @Unicorn was seen as a toxic user for some reason and as the reason as why his co-GMs wouldn't stick around for long, which he definitely was not. (if you want more on that subject, feel free to ask me about it). So, during the Season 24 ISFL draft, the war room decided to use their 6th overall pick to draft some dumb kiddo wide receiver, called Gunner Thorbjornsson, username @Z-Whiz . And shortly after, he became Co-GM for the Outlaws. And on the season 25 isfl draft... The Outlaws drafted @Crunk. While on the management team, Z-Whiz eventually took over some of the tasks Unicorn had and in november, when Uni stepped down, Z got Crunk to be co-GM. And the rest is history. But since i have around 100 extra words to write to get credit, i can say that since that time, if the idea and the results on the Outlaws changed, was due to to these 2. The amount of work they have put in with everything, from testing to creating a connection with users that want nothing more than be on the Outlaws, is nothing short of remarkable.
I know some users tend to criticize the Arizona team for a lot of things (mainly during draft season), but the truth is that their work really changed the team perception and it makes perfect sense for users to want to be there for a while.

16. Describe your player and/or team’s journey through this latest season. What were the highlights? What were the lower points? What might you have done differently? What are your expectations for next season?
To be fair, it was very unlikely for last season to be better for Jay Cue III and the Austin Copperheads than the previous one was. Winning an Ultimus as an ISFL rookie QB is very hard to top, so coming into season 46 expectations were good, but also, in reality, sneaking into the playoff was probably the realistic expectation for the team.
While Cue III entered the season solidly around the middle of the table regarding QB TPE in the league, the fact is that his weapons as WR were now deep into regression, so it would not be easy for the team to rely heavily on the passing game. The Copperheads running game was favoured, as expected, which gave them a Howard Coward at the top of his game, one of the top running backs in the game. And that showed throughout the season, as he racked up 1300 yards and 9 touchdowns. Even with this, Cue really did not have a season to throw out, as he managed to pass for 4412 yards (2nd in the league), 31 TDs and 13 INTs, really interesting numbers for a 2nd year QB with a limited wide receiver core.
After a 3rd place in the ASFC with a 10 - 6 record, the Copperheads still managed to shock the Orange County Otters in the wildcard round, beating them away from home, but it all came crashing down against the regular season champs and eventually Ultimus Winners, the Arizona Outlaws. Not really unexpected to be fair.
As for next season, Cue will be probably become a Top5 or 6 QB in the league, but depending on how free agency and the draft go, his weapons will be even deeper into regression, with some WRs retiring as well, which does not bode well for his numbers.
Though to predict how Austin season is going to pan out, but i would not be surprised if they regress to a bottom of the barrel team. We will see how it goes.
